Chapter 410 Stay Tonight

Sensing my softened demeanor, Jethro's look of surprise evolved into a warm smile. As the evening wore on, Seren eventually fell asleep in my arms, with Jethro staying quietly by our side. Had it not been for the incident a year ago, this would have been such a warm scene. A blissful family of three—the very life I had once longed for.

"Put him down," Jethro suggested softly, noticing my hesitance to part with the sleeping child.

Despite my reluctance, I gently laid Seren down in his crib. I stood and watched his peaceful slumber, wishing I could stay by his side forever. After glancing once more at Seren, I averted my gaze. We were currently standing in the bedroom Jethro and I had once shared, full of memories of love and laughter. I looked briefly at the bed we had shared before turning away.
