If running into Jonathan's past was going to be a thing then it best I stay clear from anything that would lead to such a scene.

“You know me” I finally asked her

Laura smiled, her eyes mischievous, “why wouldn't I, the last time I met Jonathan he wouldn't stop talking about you” she trailed off.

She met Jonathan, this is getting interesting, what other lies has Jonathan been hiding from me?

So much for getting to trust one another my foot. “Well since you know our history, it was nice meeting you,” I told her Turning my attention back to my car.

“At first I was pissed when he got married, I thought I was going to be the one,” She said.

I paused again, what the hell was she saying, why wouldn't she just quit talking?

“Jonathan and I have been college sweetheart, I had to leave to chase my dream, and he promised to wait and when I got back.., well you know the story from there”

I turned to look her in the eye, “I know nothing dear, you should finish your story next time
