Chapter 24

I felt like I was an iceberg, slowly melting in Ezra's gaze. I failed to utter a word whilst my lips were trembling. I looked at the green shirt he grabbed on the sand, so it was his.

Our eyes met again. I swallowed deeply with my chest suffering from a thunderstorm. His gaze was so deep, that I bet he was judging me.

He bowed his head and walk past me. My lips parted as I looked at my back and watched him walk away. I blink multiple times until my senses hit me.

"Ezra." I started following him.

He was making big steps with his long legs.

"Ez!"

He ignored me like he wasn't hearing anything. I ran faster until I blocked his way. He met my eyes and that electrified me.

I swallowed deeply. "So you know?"

"Know what, Snow?"

I looked down at his chest, feeling ashamed of myself.

"I'm sorry, I didn't tell you. I wanted to but I'm afraid---"

"It doesn't matter." He gasped. "I'd still bring you in my bed either way." His baritone voice gave me goosebumps.
