Chapter eighty one

“No! Elena!” Daniel yelled out of his lungs as he watched her traveling down to the ground.

He felt his world shattering into a thousand pieces and for the next minutes, all he could do was sit back, with his head buried to the ground.

Tears poured out of his eyes like an ocean and for the first time in his life, he felt like a failure.

He couldn’t even save the woman who he claimed to love so much.

“Elena! Where is she? Did she…”, Gabrielle said as she went towards the edge of the cliff and realized that Elena was no more there.

She fell back to the ground and let out a sorrowful wail, hitting her legs on the ground intently and screaming her sister’s name.

Daniel got a grip of himself and stood to his feet. Elena had made him promise to take care of her sister and inasmuch as he was broken, he needed to stand there for her.

“It’s okay”, Daniel said with a soft voice as he tapped her calmly and pulled her into a warm hug. Gabrielle sobbed on his chest just as they awaited the arriva
