Chapter 52: Battleground

Elise was busy avoiding the spells of Priestess Nehes cast on her. She threw back spells against the enemy priestess now and then as well but the priestess had some kind of a shield that she did not even blink an eye to avoid any of her spells.

Sparks of greens, blues, blacks, reds, yellows and oranges exploded everytime they blocked each other’s magic. Whooshes and crackles in the air could be heard as well, mixed with the clangs, groans, grunts and yells from the soldiers.

The desert sand was now soaked with red liquid that the Egyptians shed.

Diana grinned at Priestess Nofretete as a sign of greeting. She blocked the priestess’ spells cast on her, and she summoned her cudgels again. The witch priestess’ eyes widened in agitation.

“You must have some trauma with my cudgels, witch priestess,” Diana mocked amidst the noise of the battle that was going on.
