When Emerald said that she would pick up the faint scent of elf on the southeast border, I knew a few guys needed to check it out and me. I looked at Raven and nodded my head. The two of us have become very good friends. He and Tyler are also very close, but that is just because those two love to irritate the shit out of Emerald. I feel terrible that I made Nalena feel like that. I was just so damn worried that I would take away a very important part of her. I wanted nothing more than for her to wear my mark, but I also wasn’t going to take the chance of it taking away her witch or vampire powers. I sure as fuck was not taking the chance that marking her might kill her. I was not going to risk her life for a mark. She had already marked me, and everyone in the pack knew she was my mate.
