Nate
It’s been three days since everyone showed up to discuss everything. Since then, Devon and I have hardly seen Emerald. I couldn’t believe how beautiful she had become. She was already so pretty back then, but now she is absolutely stunning. I have cough glimpses of her, but she has been avoiding the two of us like the plague. I thought I would lose it when Samuel and the others explained what happened to Emerald as she grew up. How dare those bastards to tell her shit like that. I could see her fighting with herself during the meeting. I would see her start moving like she wanted to come over, but she would force it down and stay in that damn chair. We were all sitting down to eat breakfast when Emerald walked into the room. The only chair left was between Devon and me. I smiled internally because I didn’t want to frighten her. I could see the internal struggle on her face. Emerald huffed out a sigh and sat in the chair between the two of us.
“Can you please pass the water?” She asked.
“Of course Princess,” I tell her.
I can tell she can’t decide whether she should be nervous or relaxed around the two of us. The two of us pass stuff to her as she asks. I hear her let out a barely-there gasp when my hand touches hers. Breakfast went smoothly, and the three of us actually had a decent conversation. I could tell she was still nervous, but she was starting to relax around us.
“Devon and I are heading into town to look around. Would you like to come with us?” I ask.
She went dead silent, and I was afraid I had moved too fast. I instantly regretted my offer and was about to tell her to forget it.
“Sure.” She answered.
I was surprised when she agreed to come with us. We finished eating and stood by the door, waiting for Emerald to come down. She had to run up to her room and get her phone and wallet. She was staying in the room right across from ours. Devon and I had two of the rooms on the top floor remodelled about six months ago so that when we did find our mate, the three of us could share a room. None of the rooms was big enough, so we chose two rooms next to each other and had them remodelled into one large room with a large bathroom. We figured our mate would appreciate a nice large luxurious bathroom.
“Ok got everything I need,” Emerald said.
We both jumped a little because we had never heard her come back down the stairs. She is between the two of us as we walk out the door and to my jeep. I opened the door for her to get in, and she smiled at me. This time it was a real smile. I shut the door as Devon climbed into the back seat behind Emerald. I knew he was just as happy as I was to have her here with us. I backed out of the garage, and we headed off to town. I parked in our usual area on the main street where all the shops are. Devon and I hate the mall. We try not to shop there unless it is absolutely necessary. Honestly, I can’t remember the last time we even stepped foot in that place.
“This is great. I thought you were going to take us to the mall.” Emerald states.
“No way, we hate that place. We only shop there if we have no other choice.” Devon tells her.
“I hate going to the mall. The only reason I go is for bathroom stuff and undergarments.” She says.
I smile, which means she likes Bath and Body Works and Victoria's Secret. Good to know what her favourite shops are. It makes gift buying much easier. We start walking down the street when she stops at a cafe and heads inside. She walks out with an iced coffee. I feel sparks travel up my arm when our hands brush against each other. I glance over, and I can tell she feels it because she is blushing.
“You're cute when you blush Kitten,” Devon tells her quietly.
I see her roll her eyes at his nickname for her. It fits her since she is a part werecat. I let out a quiet laugh, but she hears it and shoots me a glare. I smile at her and hear her let out a huff of irritation as she starts to walk faster. I grab her hand as a woman comes storming out of one of the shops. I pull her back and wrap my hand around her waist. The woman doesn’t even give us a look as she walks across the road in a hurry.
“Um, Nate you can let go now.” Emerald whispers.
“What if I don’t want to?” I whisper in her ear.
I can’t help but place a soft kiss on her neck, and she melts into my arms. I hear a door shut behind us and Devon’s voice carries our way. She pulls herself from my arms and steps away.
That moment is when I realize she feels the bond but is scared to give in. I see Devon give us a weird look as we continue walking. She stops and tells us she is going to go into a store, and we tell her we will be in the next store down. She says she will come to find us when she is done.
“What was that about?” Devon asks.
I explained to him what had happened and how she reacted when I kissed her neck. He agrees that she is fighting the bond. I tell him we have to be patient with her. I hear him let out a quiet growl. Devon is not the patient one out of the two of us. He is quicker to anger and the more aggressive one of us. I am the more diplomatic one and try to resolve issues before getting angry.
“Are you two alright? You both look lost in thought.” Emerald asks us.
“We are fine Princess,” I tell her.
“Nate is right, we are all good Kitten,” Deven adds.
“Wow ridiculous nicknames already, great.” She grumbles.
She walks off to look at something, still mumbling under her breath. I just chuckle at her. They are not ridiculous nicknames. They fit her perfectly. She is the princess of two different kingdoms, and she is a part werecat, so yeah she is our kitten. She turns and looks at me with those mesmerizing green eyes, and I get totally lost in them.
“Snap out of it brother,” Devon smirks.
“Fuck off, she has the same effect on you,” I tell him.
“This is true but we need to go, she is walking off the store.” He comments.
The three of us spend another hour or so walking around. She does buy some new clothes that she did model for us. That was a nice bonus. We took her out to dinner since it was getting late and then headed back home. She lets out a yawn as we pull into the garage. We all walk into the house. It is quiet, but I can hear Tyler and Draven in the game room, probably playing a game of pool.
“I had a good time today.” She tells us.
We are about to head into our room when she turns around and gives both of us a kiss on the cheek, then steps into her room and closes the door behind her. Devon closes the door behind him as I walk further into the room with what I am sure is the stupidest smile on my face. I look at Devon; he has the same stupid smile on his face.
“I wonder what made her change her mind?” I ask.
“I don’t know but whoever or whatever did I need to thank them. We are still going to have to be careful of what we do and say around her.” Devon points out.
“I know. I seriously want to beat the shit out of that part of her family.” I tell him.
“As do I brother, but that would just hurt her. We just need to be there for her and show her that she means the world to us and she is the most important person to us.” Devon adds.
I know what he is saying is the truth. Emerald deserves to be treated like the princess she is and Devon and I have every intention of making sure that she has everything she needs. She will never want anything again. She will never hear a negative word against her from anyone close to her and if someone does say shit like that then they get to deal with Devon or me.
Emerald I successfully avoided the twins for two days after the meeting. I knew as soon as they walked in that they were my mates. I immediately started to freak out internally. I saw grandpa Sam look at me, but I ignored him. Rich said something, but I violently shook my head to stop him from finishing his sentence. This could not be happening. I could feel them staring at me once everyone else sat down. I was able to keep myself from looking at them for most of the meeting. When I finally did, my heart stopped. I thought they were cute when I was 13, but now they looked like reincarnated Greek gods. Nate stood up, and shit, he had to be at least a foot and a half taller than me now. They both still had their wavy sun-kissed blonde hair and bright pale sapphire blue eyes. Devon smiled at me, and I gave him a soft smile, but it dropped as I turned back to face Alpha Jason, who was talking. “Emerald are you in there?” Grandpa Sam asks. The knocking at my door brought me
Scott I knew that if anyone found out that I had told Emerald what I told her, I would be thrown into the dungeon. I really don’t care. This had been our plan all along once we realized who she was. I had been talking with my cousin Ryder, and he told me about the girl his father had been looking for for years. Ryder had become his pack's alpha after his father died when he was 17. He is now 24. I was there when my Uncle Connor died. He had been searching for this girl since she was born. I knew Emerald was different and special when I first saw her. I knew immediately that she was the twin’s mate. They acted way too protective over her for her not to mean something to them. “Well did you show her the video and tell her what you know?” Ryder asked. “Yes, I told her that they are my friends and then showed her the video. She held it together well, but you could tell that it broke her.” I tell him. I actually felt bad doing this, and so did Ryder. We needed her off t
Helm Emerald was not present at breakfast this morning. I instantly got a back feeling in my gut. I could tell she was upset last night at dinner. She sat between the twins but kept her distance and wouldn’t touch them. I know that Rich went to her room and tried to talk to her. I also know that he didn’t get anywhere with that conversation. It was now almost noon, and I still had not seen Emerald. The twins and their father were not present at breakfast. They were in a meeting because some of the patrols also found rogue prints and picked up their scent. “Have you seen Emerald?” Lyra asks. “No, have you?” I ask. “No, and she was not in her room when I went to check on her.” Lyra states. “Her bag wasn’t there either,” Leena adds. I look over at Rich and see a concerned look on his face. Her bag is gone, which means she has left. I hear footsteps coming down the stairs, which means the meeting is over. The next part of this conversation is not going to go well.
Devon I have never been this scared in my life. All I want is to find Scott and kill him for telling Emerald all that shit and showing her that video. It has been six hours since I got here, and she is still sleeping. The doctor was in here checking on her about half an hour ago, and it appears that she is starting to heal. I am not sure what made her stop fighting herself long enough to let herself heal. She is not healing as fast as I or any other wolf would, but she is healing faster than a human. I think the fact that there is nothing I can do is what pisses me off even more. “I want her to wake up,” Nate says. “I do too, brother,” I reply. The two of us had not left her side since we got here. We have been sitting here on each side of her the whole time. I stand up because my back is starting to hurt from leaning against the top of the bed. I am also starving. I can hear Nate's stomach let out a very loud growl. We decide to go get something to eat. We walk out i
Emerald I remember Scott telling me what the twins had said and what they were going to do. I also remember the video. I left the next morning before breakfast. I headed to the waterfall and to my cave. I sat there for a few hours, just crying and trying to figure out why my life was so damn shitty. I couldn’t understand what I had done to deserve everything that had happened to me. I must have done something to make everyone not want or love me. I knew both my grandfathers loved me, and Rich and Helm also loved me. Both the fae and werecat kingdoms accepted me, but the rest of my family and my mates didn’t want me. I started walking towards town. “Well, what do we have here?” A man's voice asked. I looked up, and there stood three rogues. Two were already in wolf form, and one was in his human form. I watched as the one shifted, and I thought about fighting, but then I just closed my eyes and stood there. I knew they would attack me, and I figured this was my chance to
Alpha Jason When Emerald first arrived, I was shocked to see how much she had changed since the last time I saw her. Gone was the little girl and now, standing in front of me, was a beautiful woman. As soon as my sons walked in, I could tell they knew she was there. I knew they had caught her scent. Renee and I had both had a sneaking suspicion that the three of them were mates even back when they were 13. I was not expecting her to fight the bond as she did. I knew she had been treated terribly by that side of her family. I never realized how much damage they had done by telling her all those lies. “I am glad she is starting to trust the boys,” I told Renee. “I think they will be fine.” She says. I thought everything was going well until Tyler’s dad, my beta, sent me a mind link to rush over to the pack hospital. Renee and I hurried over there. I was horrified when I saw Emerald lying in that bed. When he told me what had happened, I was pissed and confused. I know
Vaccaro “My lord I have heard the most interesting bit of information.” My second says. “And what might that be?” I ask. “A girl, whose parents are the late Princess Cyreena and Prince Tyrone.” He answers. Well, I have to admit that this does pique my interest. If this is true, then this girl is very powerful. Both of her parents are direct descendants of their goddesses. I need to find out if this is true. “Find out if what you heard is true. Then find me the girl.” I tell him. “Yes, my King.” He replies. I know Sebastian will find out everything I wish to know. That is why he is my second. Well, this is the first good thing I have heard in a while. If this is true and this girl exists, then I need to make her my queen. With her by my side, I would be the most powerful supernatural in existence. I could rule over all of them. I head to my office to see if I can find out some information on my own. Sebastian, Trystan, and I met in my office the next day. After Tr
Nate It has been two weeks since the meeting and Emerald coming back. She has fully healed and seems to be back to normal. Things have gotten better between us but her insecurities still surface every now and then. Take today for instance she is not anywhere in the packhouse. Fuck neither Devon nor I can even find her scent outside the packhouse. “What did you two do now?” Leena asks. “We have no idea,” I replied. It’s the truth. We were all sitting down in the entertainment room relaxing. The weather has been shit the last two days. It has been raining on and off. Devon and I were waiting for Emerald to come down from our room. We made her move into our room after the rogue attack. I know she told us that she hasn’t had any nightmares. Those first couple of nights she was very shy. I could tell she had never slept in the same bed as someone and she was scared too. I can tell you that the first morning waking up with her in my arms and her head buried in Devon’s neck
