When Emerald vanished during dinner, I knew whatever had happened with the two that had shown up was bad. The look of absolute terror had my wolf growling in my mind. By the look on Devon’s face, his wolf was also ready to attack these two. I did feel bad for them after they explained what had happened to them. It made me realize how fucking dysfunctional that part of her family truly was. I couldn’t even imagine any of my family threatening or actually selling members to others.
