It’s been a month since we signed that damn treaty. I know that Ryder hated that he had to do that, but I also know he wanted Alaynia back. That was the only way to get her back. I was glad that they didn’t hurt her. I didn’t think they would. She was too important. I was pissed when I found out that Seraphina tried to kidnap Emerald, but I had to control myself when I saw the wounds and bruises on Seraphina. I don’t think she knew that Emerald was as dangerous as she was. I do know that she was shocked when Emerald partially shifted in front of her.

“I will be bringing a couple of people here tonight to discuss how we can acquire Emerald and her child,” Mylanrian says.

“Ok, are these friends vampires?” I asked.

“No, they are witches.” She answers.

Ryder and I look at each other. That was not the answer we were expecting. I had no idea she knew any witches. Zavian never did show up, so we guessed that he found out that we knew that he was friends with Emerald.

They are all deceiving lying crazy people kidnapping killing and selling their family, coveting other spouses using magic against each other too. Glad I’m not part of that family.
