Chapter 7

The next couple of days went by rather quietly, neither Giovanni nor Emily reaching out to each other.

After their last encounter, Emily had reminded herself over and over again that he was nothing but a jerk. One that was capable of having any human emotions whatsoever and one that couldn’t change no matter what happened. So it was best they stayed away from each other and not even try to know each other better.

She must have been delusional to think he could change for just a mere second. He was never going to do that and she was left with no choice but to do the same.

With a groan, she pulled her sheets over her head and kicked aggressively. Her life was suddenly filled with lots of twists, turns and unexpected events and heck, she wasn’t enjoying it. Not at the tiniest bit.

It was a weekend and instead of spending it with her best friend having fun like she normally did, she was locked up in her room, wallowing over her life.

Her sister was still nowhere to be found and thoug
