“Your life just keeps on getting more an more eventful, doesn’t it?”

“Tell me about it,” Emily groaned and banged her head on the table. “I kid you not Tyler, my mind was barely in class the entire time. Everything the professor said sounded no different to gibberish to me.”

“Christ, is it that bad?”

“Yes it is,” she slammed her head against the table again. “It really is.”

She could have cried as she pressed her head hard against the table, wishing she’d just evaporate into thin air. She was losing her mind and every single time she was reminded of the contract she had signed, she felt a fresh wave of frustration wash over her.

She shouldn’t have signed it. She should have stood her ground till the end. But instead she had allowed her temper and impulsive thinking get the best of her and now had successfully roped herself into not only one or two but numerous dates with Giovanni.
