We were alone when he asked me to be his girlfriend, something I was extremely grateful for.

And even with my emotions all over the place, I was able to set my face in a mask of happiness before turning towards Alexander.

"I would never have mistaken you for a romantic person Alexander," I screamed out as I rushed forward to give him a hug, basking in the warmth his body gave me.

And the fact that I still had a few seconds to keep myself in check.

He placed his hand on the lower part of my back and rested his chin on my head. This was a safe space for us.

If someone had told me earlier this year that Alexander would ask me to be his girlfriend, I would have spat in his eye and called him a fraud. I didn't even have plans on ever seeing the mother fucker again. Yet, here we were.

"So I guess that's a yes," Alexander said the moment I freed myself from his body.

A yes to Alexander would solve all my issues.
