My father barked at me, causing me to shiver. I looked at my father with conflicting emotions. He was never like that when I was growing up.

I knew him to be a kind and loving father until mother returned back from country R after squandering all the money given to her by my father to get the goods for their business.

Saying she was duped. I went to her to greet her, but she looked at me like she was seeing something "new" and I felt it.

Though I never knew her quite well, until I was six years old, when she came back finally from country R. My father said after mother gave birth to me, she had to attend to something important in country R and I believed him.

There was never a happy moment in my life, right from that very moment she returned home. From that tender age, I had already known what it means to be suffering.
