Claudia's POV

"Daphney... you're not getting any younger, it's high time you brought your husband home... I'm sick and tired of waiting,all you care about is work...work ...work,do you wanna kill yourself.... Daphney I'm talking to you". I said but she kept punching the buttons of her phone only God knows who she takes after. I called her name again.

"Daphney...!

This time around she mumbled something that I didn't hear.

"Assuming you're chatting with a guy now... it's my joy but I don't know exactly what you're doing on phone".

DAPHNEY'S POV

Mom nattered rubbish that I hated to hear and she knew that . She called my name again.

"Daphney!". She called as I kept playing the Candy Crush game on my phone.

"Mom... please spare me a minute,I have no time left,I need to pop these sweet candies ". I said as I kept playing the game.

She likes disturbing me about getting married, that's her song anytime I come visting. Dad had tried bribing me by giving me his company but I rejected it. I'll earn my own money if that's what they want.

Claudia's POV

"Seriously! you're playing Candy Crush game while I'm talking to you? Daphney! I need to see my grandkids... I'm not getting younger again, your younger sister,Diana got married last year and is expecting her own baby.

"Mom...!". She shouted making me startled. I knew that's the only word I can say that'll get her attention.

"Mom... just stop...! Stop it! Stop comparing me to Diana,she has her own life to live and I have mine too...you want grandkids? She's pregnant already and is soon due for delivery so stop disturbing me about getting married...I don't have time for that". She yelled at me and started packing her stuffs.

"Daphney Krenshaw, you're so adamant... whether you like it or not, you're getting married this year". I shouted back.

"I'm leaving Mom, see you some other time". She took her bag and left.

"Who gave birth to this girl? I'm not sure I'm the one,she acts tough,just like her father,how do I change this girl's mind now?

I thought as she left our sitting room .

She is just so stubborn and I'll make sure I deal with her . I smirked as I heard her ignite the engine of her car and she revved the engine in a rather macho style.

Daphney's POV

I was so furious. How could she compare me to my little sister? That's her song everytime I come to visit, thankfully Dad is not around today. He would have added more petrol to the fire.

"Daphney Krenshaw you're so adamant... whether you like it or not you're getting married this year". Her words echoed in my ears again and I found myself laughing so hard as I hit the steering wheel and zoomed off in my car.
