Chapter 29

Her brows knotted as the ray of sun came to fall on her face. Her eyes flew open, and her hand flew to cover her eyes from the sun.

She slowly sat up on the bed, her eyes taking in her surroundings. She was in her room—on her bed.

Was everything that happened a dream? Oh, she wished it was, but the shirt which she was wearing now told her otherwise.

A black T-shirt which looked more like a gown on her body, and it was heavy with his scent, his cologne. What had she done? How could she let everything happen when she knew too well how things were at the moment?

She liked Rocco. What was she saying? She loved him, with all her heart. So why? Why could she do that? This was wrong.

If they found out—Domenico and the Don—they might have her killed or worse. How could she be so careless?

She felt this guilt weigh on her heart. She shouldn’t have gone to his mansion, she shouldn’t have been worried about him. Then all of this could’ve been avoided.

Anna ran her hand through her blonde locks, tugging it in frustration. She wished she could stay here in bed all day, but she couldn’t.

She took her lips between her teeth, sighing in frustration. She couldn’t get rid of the guilt, nor could she get rid of the feeling of his lips on her tender skin.

She finally got out of bed. The only way to salvage this was to act like it never happened. She nodded to herself. She took off his shirt, neatly folding it in her closet.

She took off her shorts next and then her panties. Her eyes widened on seeing the whitish sticky liquid on it. She gulped. How far had he gotten to her?

She didn’t waste a moment more before taking it to the bathroom. She instantly washed it, discarding every trace. Hopefully, she would be able to rid it from her mind as well.

“What would you like to do today, ma’am?” Anna looked up from the book she was reading to stare at Chiara, who now stood in front of her with a polite smile.

“You don’t have to worry. I’ll be busy with books all day, so you should get some rest too.” Anna shut the book she was reading, and Chiara nodded.

“Tha…” her words stopped midway when they fell on Anna’s neck. “Did you get bruised?”

Confusion mapped Anna’s face. She stood up from the sofa and quickly rushed to the mirror to have a proper look.

A purple bruise had formed on her neck. Her mind recalled how Leone had sucked and bit on it. She swallowed.

“Probably a rash,” Anna muttered. “No need to worry.”

Once Chiara left her alone in the room, Anna took a good look at it once more. The bite marks were all over her neck like he had meant to leave enough mark on her body.

Not just her neck, but even her chest was filled with bite marks. This man. She quickly rushed to her closet and grabbed a scarf to tie it around her neck. Hopefully, it would do.

She suddenly heard a knock on the door. Her heart skipped a beat in shock and fear. Who was that? Was it Leone?

She slowly opened the door, and she let out a breath of relief when she saw the butler standing in front of it. But then again, this man never came with good news.

“Miss Anna,” he bowed politely. “The Don and Domenico will be arriving from England an hour from now, and he would very much like you to be present at the front door during his arrival.”

And she was right. Her face creased with worry, but she masked it with a smile. “Sure,” Anna nodded.

Anna felt too queasy, anxious, and scared at the same time. She had to face Leone after what happened between them, and now Domenico was coming back, along with the Don who had begun making plans for their engagement.

At this rate, she might start having gray hairs due to how much worry she carried in her chest. She wished time would freeze for eternity, but that didn’t happen, and an hour elapsed too fast.

The butler came back to fetch her, and he led her to the entrance of the mansion. Her breath seized when her eyes fell on him—Leone fuckin’ Vicenzo.

Dressed in a casual T-shirt and black jeans, with his usual black jeans. Her eyes fell on his tattooed arm, the rings on his fingers, and the chain with a cross pendant that hung on his neck.

He had a stoic expression on his face, like he hadn’t sucked the living daylight out of her nipples. His cold gray eyes fell on her, and she instantly averted her gaze from him.

A sleek, expensive black wagon pulled up in front of the mansion, and a man dressed in a smart tux quickly stepped down and then opened the back door. Enzo stepped out first to receive a deep bow from the man and the rest of the guards who were stationed there. Then Domenico stepped out next.

A stoic expression on his face, he was dressed in an expensive tux, his blonde hair now packed to the back, giving him a more tamed look.

Her hands turned clammy. She wasn’t ready to handle his anger. The Don stepped in first, and Anna gave him a deep bow, which he returned with a smile. He walked up to Leone, and they both began talking in hushed tones, none of which she could hear.

She dug her nails into her palm when Domenico began walking towards her. He stood right in front of her, and Anna bowed slightly.

The usual frown wasn’t on his face. Her eyes flew wide when he stepped closer to her and placed a kiss on her cheek. “I missed you, Anna.”

The need to have her was what was making him lose his mind.It wasn’t like he couldn’t kidnap her and have her all to himself. • Entangled With The Vicenzos   Chapter 42: A Test

Chapter 42Anna stared at him, her heart a complete mess, her brows knotted in confusion. Under normal circumstances, she would’ve reminded him once again that her name wasn’t Peach but Anna, but now—now seemed like no time for that.Knowing she couldn’t refuse him and it would take one slight tug for him to get her out of the car, she reluctantly took off the seatbelt, her hand a trembling mess as she got out of the car.Anna almost couldn’t breathe upon realizing that this was actually a bridge—one push, and she would land in the afterlife. Her heart was a racing mess as she stared at him, and with the way he had parked the car in the middle of the road, it meant cars didn’t go through this route, and if Leone truly had bad plans, there would be no saving. He slammed the door behind her, her breath hitched, her back pressed on the door frame as he cornered her, slamming his hand at the side of her head.“Is something wrong, Peach?” His head tilted as he stared at her, and Anna was l

  • Entangled With The Vicenzos   Chapter 41: The Route

Chapter 41Anna didn’t wait a second longer before walking away from him, but that didn’t prevent his cold, shrewd eyes from lashing on her back. She saw no use in him calling her that—a special name—when they were nothing. Taking a deep breath, she got into the car, and then he followed suit.Anna was queasy, anxious, and nervous. The Don had only told her they were here for business, and the thought of what kind of business they were here for had been haunting her mind.It was no secret that the top mafia clans engaged in sex trafficking. Was Vicenzo part of them? From what she knew, the Lorenzo mafia clan never engaged in such, so was it possible that the Vicenzo, being the king of other mafia clans, engaged in it?Anna couldn’t watch such atrocity being committed right in front of her eyes, and she doubted she would be able to control herself if that were to be the case.Having never been to Madagascar, Anna’s eyes remained fixed outside the window, staring at the large skyscraper

Chapter 40Her chest tightened, her heart sank at the very thought of it. Worst of all, she couldn’t even refuse. She hated to say it, but she’d rather go there with Domenico than Leone at this point—she didn’t want to be anywhere near him.She had a million things to say, and the word “No” constantly resounded in her head, waiting for her to voice it out, but she held it back in.The Don kept staring at her, waiting for a response, but was it needed, when there was only one thing she could say?“Yes, Don,” was all Anna could muster, and she quickly excused herself from there, not wanting to be anywhere near Leone. She couldn’t even ask how long she would be staying. All she felt was this ache in her chest that prevented her from saying anything more or staying here any longer.…………When she got to her room, she was a bit shocked to find Chiara packing her things in a suitcase.Wasn’t it just minutes ago that the Don broke the news to her, and suddenly her things were getting packed u

  • Entangled With The Vicenzos   Chapter 39: A Business Trip

Chapter 39Anna’s lips were tightly pressed against each other, not daring to respond to his earlier question because it smelled like some sort of trap, and the last thing she wanted to do now was fall into any of his traps. The look in his eyes, daring her, as if a little slip-up from her was all he needed to have her where he wanted her.As much as she wanted to say something, dare him because she knew he couldn’t have her—she was no food—she didn’t. This was his territory, and perhaps if they were in her room at the Don’s mansion, she’d have said her thoughts, but not here. Her eyes, that had tried to stay on his, now slowly drifted, lowering to stare at his well-toned chest. His strong, muscular arms—and they drifted lower—and she wondered if he was allergic to wearing a shirt and only did so when he was outside his mansion. She instantly tore her eyes away from him.Her hands turned clammy, but she tried to control it all. She cleared her throat. “I didn’t know you paint,” she s
