Chapter 55

Anna whimpered in pain as the guard harshly pulled her hair, enough for her to feel immense pain on her scalp. She bit her lips to hold back the scream that threatened to push past it, not giving him the pleasure he so much craved from watching her cry in pain.

He brought his face closer, wanting to forcefully kiss her when Anna slapped him loudly. Loud gasps flew in air, the onlookers watched with wide eyes at her audacity.

The shock in the guard’s eyes was quickly replaced with anger, and he slapped her hard, twice on the same cheek.

Anna felt hot tears brim at the corner of her eyes. The slap she had received from the other guard the previous night was yet to heal, now this guard had slapped her twice on that same cheek. Anna felt her cheek become numb momentarily.

She could barely hear what was being said, the ringing sound in her ears made it hard, and then again the guard adamantly kept pulling her hair like he had plans of ripping it off.

Chapter 61He had wanted to wait, give her some more time, at least till when they were back at the hotel, but the question had never stopped haunting his mind, especially with the possibility that someone there had hurt her or prompted her to leave.Had someone touched her? He clenched his jaw. He knew Anna wouldn’t do anything without a reason, which was why he wanted to know why—why she had left, who or what had made her leave.Anna took a deep breath in. It wasn’t like she hadn’t been expecting the question—she had. In fact, she had been expecting that that would be the first thing he would ask since he found her, and part of her had been wondering why he hadn’t asked yet.Well, now that the question came, her heart sunk, her chest tightened as she recalled the sounds she had heard when she was about to enter his room that day, to bare her heart to him.She pressed her lips together as the memory refreshed itself. Why was he asking like he had done nothing wrong? Perhaps she was t

  • Entangled With The Vicenzos   Chapter 60: Bursting Bubble

Chapter 60“Unlock the cell,” Leone’s voice came out crisp. The guard quickly fiddled with the bunch of keys attached to the belt hold of his trouser. He pushed himself forward, unlocking the iron gates for Leone to step in.The guard shivered on the bare floor, still trying to grasp the fact that his eyes were no more. Not being able to see anything, the only thing he felt was the throbbing pain in his head—in fact, he felt like his body had been set on fire.He flinched when he felt someone grasp his chin, squeezing it like he had plans of crushing his bone to dust. The man yelled in pain and agony. At this point, he pleaded for death because that would be much better than what he felt at the moment. He didn’t need anyone to tell him that it was the same devil who had plucked out his eyes that was now standing right in front of him. He shivered, pushing himself back to the wall, wishing he could disappear and turn to ash rather than be in this devil’s presence. He gasped for breath

  • Entangled With The Vicenzos   Chapter 59: Delusional Peach

Chapter 59:Anna slowly turned her face to look at him, her eyes widening, her lips parting in shock. For a moment, she disregarded the shame she felt by looking him straight in the eyes. She hadn’t expected him to say that. These weren’t the words she had expected him to say to her. Her eyes moistened, her heart melted, and without her control, the tears began to fall down her eyes. Her eyes looked nothing less than a crystal blue ocean as they shimmered with the light that reflected on them.“Peach,” his soft tone only worsened things, and in no time, the dam broke, and she couldn’t hold back the large amount of tears that fell freely.Leone pulled her into his arms, stroking her back gently. Not having consoled anyone in his life, he almost didn’t know what to do once she began crying. He could only pat her back gently. He knew she had gone through so much—she had been betrayed, scared. He had let that happen. He also deserved to be thrown into the wolf den.She continued crying, h

  • Entangled With The Vicenzos   Chapter 58: Unexpected Confession

Chapter 58The piercing sound of screams bounced around the four walls of the room and beyond, that had other guards rushing into the room to see what had happened, their eyes wide in shock to witness the gore.Leone dropped the guard’s body on the floor, walking across the room to see his peach, who was still laying with her front on the cold ground. He crouched down, his eyes shook with rage on seeing the three red marks on her back, her clothes torn, wounds visible on her body. He gritted his jaw.“Peach,” he called softly, noticing how she hid her face from him.Taking off his coat, he wore it on her and he bundled her in his arms, like she was the most delicate prized possession of his—she was. He noticed the way she buried her face in the crook of his neck, his eyes hardened.“Mr. Vicenzo,” the head guard who had just arrived at the scene called in shock, on noticing one of his guards on the floor with bloody eyes. The hair on his body stood errantly, his face pale with fear.“K

Chapter 57Days ago……He stood in front of the tall glass window from where he could see the snow fall gently from the sky. The glass was now covered with fog, the air cold and somewhat stiff, but the anger that coursed through his veins was enough to provide just the amount of heat he needed. The sleeves of his shirt had been rolled up to reveal his veiny arms; an expensive leather watch sat on his wrist. The doors were pushed open, a soft creak sound emitted from it. “So?” he questioned without turning back to stare at the person who had entered his room.Fabbio wrung his hands, cold sweat rolling down his back and his knees weakened. He gulped. “I’ve searched through the surveillance camera. An Uber had come to pick her up from the hotel. My security men must have thought it was one of your drivers.” “Drivers?” he drawled, his tone dark as he swirled the glass of whiskey in his hand. Fabbio shivered, pushing saliva down his dry throat. “Y-yes,” he stuttered. “We were able to cap

Chapter 56Anna couldn’t tell what time it was—if it was day or night, she didn’t know. She was slowly losing herself, and just when she thought she wouldn’t be able to survive the next minute, she heard the creak sound that came from outside the room. The door was slid open. She covered her eyes as the sudden bright lights were too much to handle. As if knowing she would be too weak to walk on her own, she felt the guard suddenly pull her up, leading her out of the confinement room. She was pushed back into the cell, and Anna was glad she was at least out of the confinement room. It was the worst kind of punishment that could be handed down to someone when one had no other choice but to reflect on themselves. It was very easy for someone to lose themselves in there, to lose their minds. With only the cold and darkness as her companion, Anna had slowly begun to lose herself as well. She remained silent—the very last thing she wanted now was to be thrown back into the room she had just
