“Do you really think it’s going to work?” Richard relaxed into the couch with a furrowed eyebrow and a feeling of uncertainty.

Henry sat beside Richard, and he had the same expression on his face, too. He exchanged glances with him and rubbed his palm together. “I doubt that too.”

“Trust me, uncle, it's going to work.” Ryan spoke, his eyes lit with confidence. “If we go according to the plan, we’ll have them in our hands like an open book.”

Shawn sighed, running his hand through his hair, “We just have to give it a shot. We won’t know if we don’t try.”

“Norman might fall for it, but are you sure Victor will….

Henry jumped in, cutting Richard off, “Forget it. Victor is never going to fall for it.” he waved his hand in surrender. “I know my brother, he’s more cunning than you think. That’s his speciality. He would see right through the plan and turn the tables against you.”

“That’s right, Shawn. Victor is never going to fall for it. We need to think of a better plan.” Richard added.

After everything, he had prepared to expose his uncle, Victor, and Norman, for good. He lost his chance, and he put Eva and his unborn child in danger. He rubbed his palm on his face and groaned. “I'm really sorry, Eva. I should have seen this coming.” He picked up her photo frame on the table and gazed at it , the image seared into his brain. He imagined how she's been treated and how frightened she might be. “Please hold on, Eva. I'll find you.” He stopped sulking and picked up his phone to dial a contact. It rang three times before the person answered "Neil. I need help. Now." Shawn said immediately. "Shawn? It's late. Nice to hear from you, too.” The person on the other end teased. "I'm sorry for calling you at this hour, but I really need your help. I need you to trace a number for me.” Shawn went straight to the point.
