Eva strode down the hallway of the museum with confidence; her heels lightly echoed off the vacant space. Shawn followed her, the sound of his footsteps quiet on the dimly lit hallway.

Eva stepped into a gallery room; Shawn hung back just beyond the doorway, peering in. His blood ran cold as Norman leaned casually against one of the display cases, smirking firmly in place.

"Right on time," Norman drawled; there was a sharp thread of humour laced in his tone.

Eva crossed her arms over herself, an instinctive and protective stance. "Cut the theatrics, Norman. What the hell do you think you're doing?"

Shawn strained to hear, his fists clenched at his sides.

Norman chuckled. The tone was light, laced with menace. "Isn't it obvious? I want Shawn to know the truth about us. Since you are trying to pretend that night never happened.”

"There is no 'us,” Eva snapped in a low, fierce voice. "Whatever happened in the past is over. I'm happily married now. Get over it.”

Norman's smirk spread wi

Shawn groaned slightly and stirred on his bed as the morning sun penetrated through the curtains. He flung his hands to the other side of the bed and was caught by surprise. He moved his hand to feel it properly as he opened his eyes. It was empty. “Where did she go?” He groaned. He sat up and pushed his ruffled hair back, “Eva?” He called out, guessing she might be in the bathroom. There was silence, no response. His stomach growled as he got out of bed and walked towards the bathroom; He remembered that they ended up sleeping without having dinner last. He opened the bathroom and glanced around, “Eva?” He called again, but she wasn’t there. ‘She's probably downstairs because she's hungry’ He chuckled as he remembered that she'll get hungry quickly, now that she's pregnant. He brushed his teeth and washed his face before walking back into the room;Shawn's eyes scanned the room, and he realised that his clothes were still scattered on the floor, but Eva's were nowhere to be

Eva stopped in front of Shawn's bedroom door. She was a bit exhausted from running up the stairs. She heard Shawn coming right behind her. She pushed the door open and went in. “Just this once,” she whispered, taking a deep breath to ease her nervousness. “Eva?”Shawn called as he pushed the door open. He closed the door behind him as he sighted her standing behind the door. Eva came to stand in front of him, trapping him against the door, “Why don't we continue from where we left off,” she bit her lips seductively, snaking her hands to wrap them around his neck. Shawn's eyes searched hers for a brief seconds before pulling her by her waist, “You've gotten naughtier,” he pinched her nose. She leaned towards his ears and whispered, “I learnt it from you,” her fingers traced his jaw lines down to his collarbone. Shawn got turned on by her teasing movements. He spun them and pinned her to the wall beside them. Eva chuckled, pulling him closer till their lips were barely apart, b

Shawn and Eva sat on the sitting room couch, watching a TV show. They had snacks scattered on the centre table; Shwan’s legs were stretched on a stool with one arm wrapped around Eva, who was snuggling him with a bag of popcorn in hand. She fed herself and also Shawn as they watched the movie. “Mr Darlington, Miss Eva,” the housekeeper interrupted them. “I'm sorry to disturb you,” she said quickly as they turned their heads to her, “but I want to ask what you'd like to have for dinner?” Eva sat up immediately and dropped the almost empty bag of popcorn, “Don’t worry, Madam Tess, I'll make dinner.” Shawn's brow shot up, “You want to make dinner?” “Miss Eva, you shouldn’t stress yourself. Just let me do it.” Madam Tess tried to persuade her. “Yeah, Eva, just tell her what you want.” Shawn added. “No,” Eva pressed. “I'm fine, I can do it. Besides, it's been a while since I cooked since you tasted my cooking.” She turned to Shawn with puppy eyes. “Don't you miss it?” She pouted

“Shouldn't we at least tell dad?” Ava asked her mother in a hush tone. Eleanor shook her head, “No, he's doing enough already. We shouldn't add this to his troubles. Let's figure this out on our own.” They were both standing in the middle of the sitting room, dressed up and preparing to leave. “Are you heading somewhere, auntie?” They flinched at the sound of Ryan's voice behind them. Eleanor forced a smile, “Yes dear, we want to get some groceries real quick.” She replied.“Oh, let me come with you then, I need to get something too.” Ryan offered, turning back inside, “I'll go get my jacket.” “No, no, my dear,” she said nervously and made Ryan stop in his tracks. “We are not buying much. Just relax. You've been really stressed out these days.” “Text me the things you need, I'll get them for you.” Ava added.“Are you sure?” he questioned. Eleanor smiled harder, “Of course. Your uncle will come down soon. You can keep him company until we get back.” “Okay,” Ryan nodded. Eleano

Samantha lifted her tear streaked face, “No matter what I say, you're never going to believe me, right?” she questioned with a cracked voice. “Unless you have strong evidence.” The officer responded, keeping a straight face. “Jonathan Darlington will do anything to clear his grandson's name even if I come out with evidence.” She spat. “Of course not. Mr. Darlington wants a fair judgement. He wants to find out the real truth behind this, too.” “But Norman is out there fabricating evidence while I'm locked up in here. Does this look fair to you, huh?” she snapped. Shawn's fist clenched as he watched Samantha. “He really has her in a tight spot.” Ryan commented, “She won't have any choice but to give in now.” “Not if there's hope.” Richard interrupted. “Eva's statement might be the hope she needs right now.” Ryan turned his head in a sharp movement to look at Richard. “Officer Greg is trying to make her give in no matter what. He's on their side.” He whined. Henry's voice cut in

“What the hell are you saying? I didn't do this alone, I was following orders from Norman.” Samantha banged her fist on the table.“Mind your tone, young lady!” Officer Greg banged the table; Samantha flinched at the impact. “You are in no position to raise your voice here, do you understand?” Samantha looked frustrated and grabbed her hair like she was about to go crazy. “You aren't listening to me!” She tried to keep her voice down. “Please investigate this properly, I never had Eva with me, Norman had her the whole time, I swear to you, I'm telling the truth.” “Do you have any evidence to prove your claims?” Officer Greg narrowed his eyes on her. Shawn, Henry, Richard, Ryan, and Officer Wilson watched the investigation from the other room. “She's been sticking to these words ever since.” He turned to face them. “But the issue is, there's no evidence. She has no proof that Norman ordered her to do it. She was the only one who had communications with the kidnappers.” “Yes, but
