Trying to escape

It's been the third day that Alice has to live in the mansion owned by a man named Adam Anderson, her condition is getting better. All the maids in the mansion also treated Alice like a madam in a luxurious mansion which for Alice was still a foreign place. During that time Alice had not met Adam Anderson at all. The man seemed to just disappear after leaving a lot of questions in Alice.

Alice still remembered exactly when the man had said something before Alice passed out in the dark warehouse where she was locked up. How the man confidently offered Alice to be his woman. Isn't that so ridiculous? Alice snorted in annoyance remembering how her first meeting with the arrogant man named Adam Anderson was.

Does the man think that women are goods for sale and exchange? After taking her first night and getting Alice into trouble and almost getting fired, at the restaurant where she works, the man then comes as a helper angel who saves her from the hands of her cruel stepmother and stepbrother. Then now he disappeared leaving Alice just like that so Alice had to be trapped in the mansion of the man named Adam Anderson without knowing anything.

Now that Alice feels healthy, she plans to escape from Adam Anderson's mansion. During the three days she was in the mansion, Alice knew quite well the ins and outs of the mansion which was indeed very large in size and also heavily guarded.

Just by looking at his guard, Alice could tell if the owner was someone in authority.

However, not Alice if only because of that she just gave up. She didn't want to be trapped forever in a stranger's mansion, especially when she saw the figure of Adam Anderson who was not an ordinary person. If he remained in this mansion, she was afraid that he would never be able to get out again and meet the arrogant man, Adam Anderson. Then the only way is to run away right?

That night was the right night for Alice to plan her intentions. She had prepared herself by disguising herself as a maid in the mansion, and sneaked out. Alice had almost escaped, but unfortunately there was someone who suddenly admonished her behind.

“Where are you going, Alice Laurine Holmes? Do you think that just by wearing that stupid maid outfit you can escape from my mansion? Very funny!"

Trying to contain her surprise, Alice spontaneously looked back.

"You?!" Alice's two beautiful eyes were perfectly rounded to see the man behind her was the figure she was avoiding the most at the moment, Adam Anderson.

The man arrogantly stood looking at Alice who was now in a maid dress, a crooked smile appeared on his cold handsome face.

“Aren't you leaving?! How come you're here now?!” Alice asked confused and curious at the same time.

"You think I'm stupid? I've been back since yesterday, and I purposely didn't come to you because I wanted to see what you're going to do in my mansion,” the man replied lightly with his style that looked cool.

“Tch! Base! You set me up on purpose!” alice swore harshly could not accept herself being deceived outright.

Adam Anderson actually laughed, he seemed happy to see Alice upset now.

“You plan on escaping from this place, Alice? Don't expect it to be that easy," Adam said with a smirk.

seeing the arrogant attitude of the man in front of her of course pissed Alice even more.

“What exactly do you want, honorable Mr. Anderson? Are you planning on keeping me here forever?” Alice put on a brave face so as not to look weak.

"Is that how you behave towards the person who saved you, Alice Laurine Holmes?" quipped Adam.

"Of course I haven't forgotten that," Alice answered quickly.

"Good! indeed you should be kind to people who have saved you, “Adam said, he walked closer to Alice who was silent with an adorable expression in her eyes now. But, Adam remained normal in front of the maid dressed woman.

“Tell me the reason why you want to run away? is the service here unsatisfactory or you just don't feel comfortable here?” Adam asked fishing.

"I just wanted to leave because this isn't my place," Alice replied dryly.

"Go? without saying anything let alone a word of thanks to the person who saved you, is that so?” Adam interrupted making Alice speechless could not deny it.

“Do you still remember my offer to you that time, Alice? Currently the offer is still valid.” Adam smirked confidently.

“What do you mean? And how do you know all about me?” That was the question that Alice had wanted to ask Adam Anderson since yesterday. How could Adam know everything about her.

“Knowing everything about you is not difficult. Even if you hide your face in any form, I can still recognize you just by smelling you, Alice Laurine Holmes." Adam replied confidently with a lecherous smile.

Alice instantly rounded her eyes.

“What a perverted man!” snorted Alice angrily and Adam just chuckled innocently.

“Now I ask you, you plan to run away from my mansion then where are you going to live? Are you planning to return to your stepmother's house who has treated you like trash? What a stupid woman!”

"That's my father's house not that cruel woman!" Alice replied in disapproval.

“It was then, but not anymore! I can confirm that all of your father's assets have been transferred to hands by those who really want your father dead," Adam guessed confidently.

"No! That can't be happening! I am the biological daughter of Kyle Holmes, my father! Not them!” said Alice did not accept if it happened.

“You are so naive, Alice. You think they care about all that? Of course not!" Adam replied sharply.

Alice went limp in an instant, her legs felt unable to support her body's weight because she was hit when she recalled the sudden death of her father and the cruel treatment of her stepmother and stepsister, to her own fiancé who had betrayed her. Now Alice sat on the floor with a look of despair. She felt that she had no one even a place to stand on anymore. So where should she go to start her life again?

"If you want to repay all what they did to you and take back your rights, I can help you," said Adam again.

Alice's eyes shifted to the man in front of her. staring at Adam Anderson's figure at such a close distance, it became clearer the strong aura that was present in this manly and handsome man.

"Are you serious about what you say, Mr. Anderson?" Alice felt unsure.

"Do I look like I'm joking now?" Adam smiled confidently.

"Then what do you ask in return?" Alice asked matter-of-factly because she knew very well that a man like Adam couldn't just want to help an ordinary woman like himself.

"I told you, be my woman then I will help you to repay all their actions and also reclaim what is rightfully yours."
