Scarlett almost jumped up in excitement when Cameron walked past her and asked her to meet him at the parking lot. She squealed in excitement just as the doors closed shut and began to pack all her things.

A week had gone by, and yet she had still not gotten the chance to speak with Cameron. The few times she tried to go to him, he shut her down immediately. There was a time he did it in front of a small group; she had almost died from embarrassment that day. It didn’t deter her, however. It was important that they had the talk; every day that went by with him not speaking to her was agonizing. At some point, he stopped showing up at work until today.

She rushed down the parking lot, and thankfully he was alone with his security detail. She closed the distance between them and exhaled; this was her chance to talk with him alone. Surely whatever anger he felt would have been long gone by now, wouldn’t it...
