Beatrice stormed towards me and gave me a dirty slap. I held my cheek, wincing at the sharp pain.

"You really think you can insult me and get away with it, you little street rat!" She snarled, lifting her hand to slap me again, but I caught her wrist.

"Don't f*cking touch me." She barked as she tried to pull her hand away, but I held her tighter, digging my nails into her skin, and she winced.

"I let you hit me the first time because I felt a little guilty about what I said to you, but I swear if you hit me again, I won't be so forgiving." I hissed as I pushed her away. She stumbled back and glowered at me.

"Look, I don't want any problems with you. I don't care about you and me getting along, but I don't want us to be enemies. You can do your thing, and I can do mine; our paths don't have to cross. You don't be a b*tch to me, and I won't be one to you either. This house is big enough for the two of us to stay without having to clash." I said as I crossed my arms over my chest.
