The main door of the house banged open as the sound resounated. A panting bruised person enetered, his expression held anger as his hand clenched in a fist. Lailah snapped her focus at the door, as her eyes began to swell with tears upon seeing the person in front of her. Her mind breathed in relief as her body trembled to be reunited with Marcus after all this time. Marcus snapped his eyes opened hearing the shuffle beside him as Jessica jolted in surprise seeing him wide awake, "Jesus Christ!" She heaved a breather, her hand on her chest as she tried to calm her racing heart," You scared me there!" Jessica placed the mini tray consisting of a glass of water with two tablets on a mini plate on the lamp table beside the bed. "Shall I bring the breakfast over to you? Or will you b ecoming down?" Sweat beads formed on her forehead as she clenched the bed sheet, her heart suffocating from fear, and she felt herself blocked from getting any oxygen into her system. All she could see was black, and she felt like she was trapped in it. She couldn't shake off the feeling of suffocation and darkness.
