Chapter Eight

“Tina, I would suggest that you go back downstairs right now.” Tim stood up and pointed towards his sneering wife. Eva was astonished by her father's firm and demanding tone of voice.

“You need to tell that girl the truth. Her mother was nothing special anyway.” Tina glared at Eva with so much hatred in her eyes that Eva was speechless.

Tim watched as his wife walked away slamming the door behind her.

Who did she be that she was?

Tim was beginning to really regret ever getting with this crazy woman. She had always been jealous of Eva's Mother.

Turning back towards his daughter he noted how worried she had become.

“It's ok, Eva. She won't hurt you. She's just upset.” Tim said trying his best to reassure her.

He knew that Tina would have told Eva the truth if he had not stopped her right there and then. He realised that he could not keep it a secret any longer. He needed to tell his daughter the truth.

No more lying.

No more secrets.
