CHAPTER 4

Shaun's POV

Monday came and I arrived early to ensure that I get to request HR to send in all new interns one after the other to my office, making a special request that one more would be added and I will like her to meet me last.

"What's her name sir?" She asked

"Melio". I replied, well this should be fun now, I could tell she wanted to speak with me and probably apologize for her behavior earlier, but I deliberately refused, cause I wanted to see her here today and see how she would react.

Mark came in with files and reports I had asked him to fax, and then the deeds for new businesses I had acquired recently.

"Sir, this may come as a shock to you, but your Dad's company is facing some serious financial setbacks as we speak". Well good for him, he doesn't know when to listen, I know my father, his way of thinking and might I speak of his arrogance when it comes to numbers, he feels he can never go wrong with statistics, but over time I have continuously shown him how numbers should work. I mean I did study overtime. As a punishment from him, I had to memorize statistics all night without food just so that my sister could eat, I could take a glance at any market graph and immediately spot the errors there. Plus my Uncle did great with my studies, I mean his a surgeon, so he has to be good with numbers. 

"Well buy more shares". This is what I have been doing for the past 3 years now to keep him in business I am his anonymous largest shareholder. With that he keeps aloft. 

"And also the Dublin Branch will be established soon". I all most forgot about this project, not because I have a slacking mind, but because I have been so busy that I slipped off, we are opening a new bank branch, there a business I saved from one of my Mother's exes, he literally was begging to get the deal and still keep even a 10% shares, well I told him I could do 2%, I am not that foolish to let him own a strong 10% in my company, never will I trust a man that sleeps with another man's wife.

Well he agreed and now I have him watch his business fly to the sky in ways he probably didn't know existed. That's what makes me Shaun Vance. Not too long, my Intercom rang, and as expected, the interns were here.

"Send them to the boss' floor, the waiting area precisely". Mark said

"Sir the interns are in the private conference room". I nodded and asked him to send them in individually, before Mark left I reminded him to ensure that she comes in last.

"Ok boss". I did that to ensure that I will get enough time to tease her, I want to make her uncomfortable. I usually do not behave this way, but for her, I want to bend the rules maybe a little.

I really did not pay much attention to them, cause seriously they all had identical goals, processes and dreams, the regular life. I just nodded and approved them. We only hired 7 interns every year and gave 4 the chance to work in any area of specifications. So I do know that Melio's presence here will raise suspicions. 

"Sir we are done with the interns, should I bring in Miss Blanchard?" I was about to respond when a conference call came in. As much as I wish to receive Melio now, this call is very important. I asked Mark to make her wait a little longer, the call lasted for about 3 hours and everything was finalized, I used the intercom to call Mark, letting him know that Melio could come in. 

After about 2 minutes I heard a knock on my door, as he announced his presence along with Melio's. As soon as she worked in I felt pulled to her, very conscious of her presence, but still not lifting my eyes away from my screen, well my plan to stay here and tease her was cut short as my business partner called for a brunch.

"Sit, Mark get the car ready we should wrap this up in the next 5 minutes, tell Taylor to be on stand by". I ditched all instructions without looking or even glancing at her. After Mark left, there was silence for about 1 minute, I don't know if she is waiting for me to ask her to speak, but she will sit there for a very long time.

"Seems you like the silence, so unlike the lady who wanted to smother me for running into her at the christening". I said, still not looking at her.

"I want to apologize for that, I was a bit off and moody too." She added, as if trying to say well, blame my mood for shouting at you and not me. 

"Well Miss Blanchard, why do you want to intern here?"

"Well I would like to work with you". She said that as if mocking me or something in a very sassy tone, and that's when I looked up obviously not particularly pleased with this bad girl behaviour.

"Do you mind explaining that tone of yours?" I asked with my face stern and not showing any form of leniency. If she thinks I will let this slide then, she should start adjusting that little mouth of her.

"I will want to work here, in order to gain half your experience in the business world". She said, I swear she wasn't sounding this sweet earlier, is this girl messing with me? I held her gaze for some seconds which was enough to take in her beauty, she looked very beautiful in her satin clothing. Her face flushed for some reason, I know I have that effect on ladies, they look at me and feel a certain kind of way, for once I have the same feeling, it seems like Melio has drafted my mind to hers. For a split second I looked at her lips how round and little they are, I imagined her sucking on my cock with those lips, gosh, how warm they will feel on my dick and this thought alone is getting me fucking hard.

She drifted her eyes from me and the next second I let out a very calm yet domineering command

"Eyes on me, now!" As if I just muttered a spell she immediately looked at me, but her eyes were tender as if she would cry any minute from now. 

"What's wrong with you?" I asked a bit concerned, was it because I did sound harsh to her?

"Nothing, really. I would be lying if I said I do not know why you've decided to punish me." Well this I would definitely laugh at, I mean if she considers this a punishment, what will she do when she realizes how difficult I get and how difficult I intend to be towards her. Acting oblivious I said.

"Now why would I want to punish you?" She looked at me stunned, like though I grew a perfect extra head.

"W...w..ell, for starters, you made me wait 3 hours, I came in for the past 8 minutes you haven't looked at me and now you had to start a conversation by reference a past situation that was clearly your fault. Why would you behave this way of not to punish me". Well I am happy that she is for a fact smart. I skipped all her complaints and capitalized on the one that most intrigued me.

"Well do you want my eye on you Miss Blanchard?" And there was an involuntary response.

"Yes, I mean no, but for the sake of this formality, yes". 

"Well, now my eyes are on you, speak!".

"I would love to work with you cause I want the experience of your team". Well for the first time, someone acknowledged the background players, my staff. 

"Then you will be my Secretary". I said out of nowhere.

"But I am an intern?" 

"Well if you didn't do your background check, Vance Conglomerate only hires 7 interns, and frankly I really do not want you around here, but you've proven useful, so I might as well give you the Front row seat to experiencing what a real cooperate life feels like, take it or leave it." I knew she would accept especially after I  putting her in a small box like that. I must admit she is easy to intimidate.

"Fine sir I will take it". The way she said that sir, jolted something in me, something dark and unpleasant.

"Ok then, get yourself together we have a meeting in five". With that she stood up, and  my eyes wonder , her over sized breast and her beautifully rounded belly, not to talk of her hip and when she made the U turn, I swear my dick jumped for joy, she looked like mother earth herself, I hope for her sake she hates me and stay at arms length.
