Sacrificed to the Dragon Prince

' Fate.........is something that we can't control . No matter how much we are against it , no matter how much we hate it , we are forced to accept it as it is . We can't choose our birthplace , we can't choose our family , we can't choose even our own names . We can just wait until fate grants them to us . My name is Charlotte ! I am the second princess of the kingdom of Anadol . My father , the king of Anadol , is a pervert jerkass ! He made my innocent and beautiful mather fall for scum like him and become one of his concubines . A year later she gave birth to me . Knowing that I was a girl my bastard father didn't give a damn about me . My mother soon lost his favor when I was born because I was a girl . That's right ! Just because I was a girl . In the end , it's not like mom or I had a chance of choice over this matter, your sperm choose it . You understand.....What kind of low logic is that ?! Right ?!............

So much time had passed since the last time he saw me that , when he saw me , he even asked me who I was . I was so angry that my blood boiled with anger . Just thinking about my father gets my nerves up so I will talk about him in more detail later.........................My mother , the sweetest and innocent woman with a childish heart that one could ever meet but she comes from a poor family . My scum father was the first boyfriend my mother ever had . She was untouched when he met her as for the queen . She had been with at least five men before she got married to him............

My father was her last man ( or so it is said on the law papers of their marriage because a woman like her is far too greedy ) . Preferring a used woman over a virgin ?! How does the mind of 20th-century men work ?!...................Seriously , the most stupid thing that my mother has done in her life is trusting a scum like my father .

As for the queen........................she is the most poisonous snake in the palace . My scum father loves her so much that everyone is at her feet . Due to the fact that my mom has fallen from favor , we began to be treated as servants rather than as members of the royal family . If I were to tell anyone that I am a princess they would call me a liar because my hands are filled with callosity . Especially now in autumn when I have to take care of the laundry of the two daughters of the snake woman , Sara, and Kana ! My two stepsisters !

Although I attend Oxford school just like them , my reputation as the unwanted daughter is widely spread and as a result..................I have no friends ! The only friends that I had were those who wanted my notes because I am a very clever student , a prodigy . Even though I was a prodigy , my father didn't even bother to speak but just looked me in the eye telling me that I had to work harder and not be satisfied with just this little .

That is my life ! Doomed by fate to suffer in agony and in pain , all the mistreatment that I didn't deserve . The only escape that I could find for myself were the books . Despite my life being extremely harsh and suffocating , I felt peace and relaxation when I searched through the pages of a specific book . My imagination allowed me to travel wherever my heart desired and escaped the hellish place I was living even though it was just for an hour or less because the harsh reality of doing the chores and taking care of those annoying people called me . Serving them was the only way I could help ,my mother . She fell ill quite a lot because of the mistreatment she received from the queen . In order for my mother to not work anymore , I decided to do her other half of the chores too . It was hard but when I saw my mother welcoming me in the evening with a smile and a warm hug all that tiredness and pain of the day flew away .

And so.........this was my life..............I often wished for something to happen , for a way so that I could get as far as I could from this palace . I may have born a princess but I never was one so that title didn't matter to me . It didn't much of a difference to me if I didn't have the princess title anymore. I tried to escape many times but the guards always found me and my father would order them to lock me up in the basement where the criminals would stay . In the middle of that cold and scary atmosphere, I prayed for the night to go away and the sunlight of the day to come and shine the darkness surrounding me .

One day a messenger came and asked for the king to see him immediately . My scum father never allowed anyone to behave with such confidence as the messenger did . The first thought that came to my mind was that the person behind the messenger was a very powerful one .

After talking with the messenger the scum father called me and my two stepsisters to the throne room then looked at us with a serious expression . He stayed silent for a couple of seconds then said that a marriage proposal had arrived and that he was very interested in accepting it .

" Why do you look so serious dad ?! It's just a marriage proposal . " said Sara .

" If it was a simple marriage proposal , I wouldn't have to worry so much about this and sent one of you to marry off right now . The other person is extremely wealthy ." said the king .

" Send me father ! You won't be disappointed ! " said Kana with a smile .

" No , sent me ! " said Sara .

' Only marriage was lacking to make my life more miserable than it already is . A powerful and rich person is equal to high danger ! ' thought Charlotte with a disinterested expression .

" The other party isn't a person but...........a half-human and half-dragon . At least........he has a body similar to a human . " said the king with a serious expression .

" What ?!.............What did you say ?! " said the three of the girls with a worried tone .

" Apart from our world , there's also another world which is filled with magic , dragons and other creatures . I know it may be hard to believe but our ancestor comes from that world and now , the ruler of that world , the king of Dragons , is asking for one of your hands in marriage . He has stated pretty tempting conditions and also , if the order is not followed , we will all be killed . " said the king .

The two daughters disagreed as soon as their father explained the situation .

' This was the only opportunity given to me ! It was a dangerous one and a gamble but , it was worth gambling my life for . I had no joy nor anything in this world , only hell . Maybe........in the other world , I will be granted a chance to live . I can even get killed but..........rather than continuing to suffer here with mom , I will try this opportunity no matter what the result . ' thought Charlotte .

" I will go ! In exchange , i want you to divorce my mother and cut all ties with us . After the payment that it is promised to you as dowry , you will, not disturb us again . Deal , Your Majesty ?! " said Charlotte .

" I see ! I have nothing to lose ! Deal ! " said the king and so Charlotte's journey to the magical world started .

When she arrived at the castle , and saw the dragon king , she remained surprised . Just as the rumors said he was a true dragon in the shape of a human male's body but clearly stronger . 

" From this day one, you will be my fiancee and eventually my wife . You can't escape anywhere ! " said the dragon king .

" I have no intention of becoming your fiancee or wife . " said Charlotte .

" Dare to defy me ?! Fine ! Be my maid then , Princess ! " said the dragon king .

" No problem ! Your Majesty ! " said Charlotte with a smile .

' I am more used in cleaning floors than wearing a crown . Thanks for your consideration ! ' thought Charlotte and started to work as a maid at the palace of the dragon king .

Charlotte worked as a maid and got along well with the other maids and servants in the palace . From a human world , she had traveled to a land in which things were much more different than usual . Charlotte and her mother had t adapt to a whole different culture . No ! To a whole different world . Although there was a bridge that connected the two worlds , they still remained separated and different from each other .

When Charlotte first arrived at the castle of the dragon king Damien , everything was too shabby and dark although it was luxurious .

" This place needs a whole new air !.................i think I will have to start from the beginning !  " said Charlotte as she looked around .

Charlotte gradually encouraged everyone around to agree and help her saying that she would bear the responsibility , if the master disagreed and got angry . After the changes that Charlotte made , the castle's air became much better . The dragon king scolded her but in the end he realized that what she did was the best option .

" I have been meaning to ask...............Aren't you afraid of me ?! " asked the dragon king .

" ..........No !........You are scary but...........you are like that because that's the only way you can protect what's yours and yourself from unwanted outsiders . " said Charlotte while looking at the sunset with the dragon king .

" You are a strange human ! " said the dragon king .

" You aren't normal either , your majesty , the dragon king ! " said Charlotte .

As time passed , her unusual behavior started to attract the king's attention . The two of them gradually came to trust each other but the trust of the dragon king became an obsession of possessiveness towards Charlotte . She helped him find the crystal that could restore him to his original appearance and save his kingdom . What she asked for in exchange was freedom .

' Fate has already decided everything but......will I still be able to make some changes and live how I want ?!  ' thought Charlotte with a smile while looking at the dragon king Damien reading a book .

She tried to escape , she tried to run , she tried to make a deal with him but his obsession over her , made things even more difficult .
