Chapter 18 : Running Away

Natasha’s POV

I head into my room and change into a peach crop top and dark blue jeans. I head outside the room and into the cool night leaving my unfinished mug of hot chocolate on the dining table. I had to make a decision for myself. It hurt me the most that even my mother resigned to fate and asked me to accept the rejection and give up my dream. Maybe I didn’t know my mother too well after all. Growing up I looked up to her as the ideal woman, a fierce warrior and a woman who deserved to be the queen. She had come to terms with being the second-best as the wife of the pack's Beta even though I know that she wanted to be the Luna and after seeing how close the bond was between the Alpha and Beta she had decided not to instigate war and to just let them be.
