Daryl chuckled when he noticed their expression, he hadn't meant to scare them, he was only asking.

"I didn't mean It negatively, you both are good with your job and I acknowledge that. Well, except Secretary Mervick who comes late on important days" he said making Yelena embarrassed. It wasn't like she purposely come late on those days but it seem like her star was always dim on those days.

"You both are the only Secretaries that managed to stay long with me" He added and everyone in the office agreed as before both of them came along, he had fired numerous secretaries for one offense or the other.

"And do you know why?" He asked them, both girls shook their heads. "Please, enlighten us"

"Since you both are Cayden's best friends, you are like my siblings too, so, I decided to overlook your offenses and you haven't gone overboard yet, so, anything you do is still acceptable" he explained and everyone in the office were surprised.

Who would have thought their boss was affectionate.
