"Miss Clarissa..." A voice broke the silence, disorienting her thoughts.

The voice was Soft but a little off. Clarissa looked up to find an older woman had stepped into the living room, staring back at her. Her presence was quiet but strange enough to pull Clarissa out of her thoughts.

Clarissa stared at the woman with skeptical eyes. A little alarmed.

She didn't need to guess. The woman looked Chinese and it was clear as day. The woman had pale skin that was smooth for her age. Hair all grey, pulled back neatly in a bun. Her eyes, sharp and black, held something... unreadable.

"You're...?" Clarissa asked but her voice trailed off. She didn't like how the woman looked at her—not unkind, but distant. Like she already knew too much.

The woman wore a black-and-white gown, apron tied behind. She looked like someone who belonged in this house.

"I'm Mrs Chen," she said finally. "The housekeeper."

Mrs Chen’s smile barely touched her face. Her eyes dropped to the wheelchair. Her lips moved—ba

"Clarissa, I understand that you're mad at me for whatever thing I've done to you but look at your mother...." Easton stepped forward, his brows joined as he lectured Clarissa. "She's asking for your forgiveness." Clarissa smiled coldly. Her eyes sparkled in hate as she scoffed loudly. "And who are you to lecture me??" Lucas stepped closer to her, his face had turned rigid as he stared at Easton. Pinning him down. Easton shifted in his standing position, his hands rolled into loose fists as he said. "I know you're upset—but this?? This is too far!" He threw Lucas a skeptical look before turning to face Clarissa again. "You really do not have to hook up with another man to get me jealous." Clarissa grimaced at his shamelessness. She felt bemused as she stared at him, watching him talk nonstop. "We can talk things out. Just leave him." Mia stepped forward and tugged at Easton's sleeve. "What are you saying??" She whispered, her voice was a little hard. Easton's gaze remained on

“Are you ready??” Lucas asked softly, his eyes tender as he watched her. Clarissa stared out of the window, her eyes locked on the people in the funeral ground. All dressed in black. She sighed before turning to face Lucas. “Sure. I won’t linger.” She mouthed. Lucas nodded. “According to the info from Justin, the last rite will be performed in less than 30 minutes. We should join them soon.” Clarissa nodded, she didn’t say another word as she looked out of the window again. The funeral was held in a reserved cemetery where Granny Brown would be laid to rest. The priest was preaching, opening the ceremony. Clarissa and Lucas remained in the car, waiting for the moment to get out. Clarissa pushed her black sunglasses up a little, she gripped her black purse tightly, her anxiety rising higher by every passing second. A long moment of silence followed. Nobody said a word. They didn’t need to. “I think it’s time now,” Lucas said from behind her. Clarissa balled her fist and nodded

“You have something to say to me??” Lucas asked, deadpan. The night shadow blurred his face a little. But his expression was tight as he stared at Charlie. Charlie smirked, shrugging nonchalantly. “Umm. Let’s say I’m surprised that you’re still alive and breathing.” Lucas raised a brow. “You did it.” Charlie smiled, not saying another word. His hands were tucked into his pants pocket as he stared at Lucas. Waiting for what he would do next. Lucas sighed, his eyes wandered the dark environment as he took a step near Charlie. Standing a foot away from him, Lucas finally placed his gaze on him. His face was blank as he ‘helped’ fix Charlie’s collar. “You know, uncle…” he began.Charlie’s jaw tightened. Lucas remained focused as he arranged Charlie’s collar. “You do the most insane stuff. Makes me wonder if you’ve not yet learnt your lesson.” He patted Charlie’s shoulders as if he were dusting off an invincible dirt. Charlie tensed a little. Lucas smiled warmly. “Now, I just think I

“Good evening, grandma.” Clarissa rushed into the living room with a big smile on her face to hug Granny Reed whose arms were spread out for her.Clarissa was dressed in a long armless purple dress that clung to her body, accentuating her figure. There was a slit on the side, revealing her long toned legs. Lucas lazily followed behind with a gift box on his arm. His eyes weren’t on Clarissa and Granny who were hugging and having small talks. His eyes were on the group of people behind Granny Reed, staring at the scene. His face was blank but he grimaced inwardly. His uncle Charlie was there with his wife, Betty. Jefferson was in the dining area, using his phone—totally not involved in the Thanksgiving celebration. There was also Lisa and Liberty—Jefferson’s twin siblings. Lucas’s cousins too. A few of Granny Reed’s older brother’s family also came. It was crowded, making Lucas wish he could skip all this.“Come on in.” Granny Reed gestured to Lucas and Clarissa. Lucas stepped forw

A simple kiss turned into something mind-blowing. Clarissa tried to pull away but Lucas didn’t let go. He recaptured her lips in a hot kiss which eventually led to her giving him a blowjob and him rewarding her with a mind blowing orgasm against the table. Clarissa felt torn as if she had been pounded and brushed by a truck. She was worn out.Once done, Lucas wrapped her with a thick blanket and wiped the table that was covered with their cums. Clarissa bit her lower lip as she watched him clean up their mess. They had done it on the couch and on top of the desk that was once covered in books—books that were trashed on the floor by them.“Kai’s assistant would be bringing your dress any moment from now,” Lucas said as he dropped the last book on the table. He walked towards the mini-bed at the end of the wall where Clarissa lay.“Why?” Clarissa asked, clutching the blanket around her tightly. She was naked underneath that thick blanket because a certain someone was too impatient and

The days ran by quickly. Thanksgiving was around the corner and institutions were going on holidays. No more school for Clarissa but she had to focus on the assignment Mrs Elaine had given. Louis drove Clarissa to Metro Textiles to get the desired fabrics for her project. She settled for a purple fabric which she planned to sew. Lucas had fully sponsored her shopping spree. They bought sewing machines and other equipment that aided her sewing. By the time they were done, she was totally spent. The stairs creaked softly as Louis and the other staff helped Clarissa carry the many shopping bags and boxes up to the second floor. Clarissa moaned tiredly as she followed with her bag. Her arms were tired, her legs ached, but there was a joy in her heart. She had gotten everything she needed—fabrics, threads, machines, even little decorative pins and lace. It was all so beautiful. The purple fabric she picked had a soft shimmer and it was so rare. Clarissa could already imagine what s
