"No," she cried, going down on her knees.

"You never deserved my mother's ring. I regret ever giving it to you," he said.

She felt stinging daggers in her heart as she watched him stare at the ring.

He was really serious about this.

He really wanted to divorce her.

He just took off the ring he gave her.

The ring that came with the vows he said to her.

Oh God.

"Now, get your slutty self up, and get the hell out of my house. Leave while I am still holding down my rage. You wouldn't like what I would do to you when I come back to this house and find you here," he said, walking past her and heading towards the door. He walked out and slammed the door hard.

She flinched.

Oh God.

How did this happen?

Why was this happening to her?

Why?!

The pictures took her attention. She picked one up and felt ashamed of herself staring at it.

It was so awful.

She couldn't even see the random man's face clearly. His face was blurred. Only hers was clear.

Someone did this to her.

It was a setup.

She was set up. That was the only explanation for this! Someone set her up and took pictures of her.

He or she blocked the man's face.

She was too drunk to know this.

They set her up.

But why did they wait this long to reveal these pictures to Xavier? Right after she confirmed her pregnancy.

Did they know she was pregnant too?

God, what had she done to herself?

What had she done to her happy marriage?

She shouldn't have gone to the club that night. She should have remained home and gone through the boredom as she always did.

Why did she decide to go out that night?

All this wouldn't have happened if she had stayed at home and waited patiently for Xavier.

What had she done, Giselle? What had she done?!

Xavier would never forgive her!

He would never listen to her!

He would never listen to her side of the story.

He hadn't even let her speak.

He called her a slut.

A pretender.

That is not true!

She hadn't done this on purpose.

She was set up.

Someone set her up.

Who could that be?

Who wanted to ruin her life? Who wanted to ruin her marriage like this?

She had no idea who to suspect. She had done nothing to anyone. Who would want to ruin her?

AN HOUR LATER

She paid the taxi driver and got out of the car. She took out her luggage, and the driver drove away.

Sighing, she walked up to the entrance door of her parents' house.

She was about to press the doorbell when the door opened, revealing her mum.

The sight of her pushed tears out of her eyes.

"Giselle?"

"Mum," she cried as she let go of her luggage and rushed towards her. She wrapped her arms around her before her mother could say anything, letting all her tears out.

After a few seconds, she unwrapped herself and sniffled.

"Giselle, what's wrong? Why are you here with your luggage?" her mum asked.

She heaved a sigh as she walked towards her luggage and dragged it closer.

"Can we go inside first? It is cold out here," she said.

Mum scoffed. "That's not happening. Why the hell are you here with your luggage?!"

She was taken aback by her mother's tone.

"Mum,"

"Answer my question, you good-for-nothing child!"

She let out a breathless scoff.

"Mum?"

"Answer my question!" her mother yelled, surprising her once more.

Why was she like this towards her?

Her mother was looking at her questioningly, waiting for an answer.

"Who is that at this time, honey?" her dad's familiar voice interrupted. He came into view and stood behind her mum. He looked at her with surprise.

"Giselle?"

"Dad," she almost cried but suppressed her tears.

All she wanted right now was a hug from them. Why weren't they holding her or letting her in? Her heart was in a very bad situation right now.

"What in God's name are you doing here at this time?" he asked.

Mum scoffed, folding her arms. She was acting weirdly. Why is that?

"Giselle," Dad called.

"Dad,"

"I asked you a question."

She didn't respond.

"Can't you speak?!" Mum snapped.

She flinched slightly.

"Calm down, Nina. Let her speak," Dad said to her mum. She scoffed.

Tears filled her eyes.

"Tell us, Giselle," Dad urged.

"Mum, Dad, Xavier..." She paused, looking down. Her heart clenched as she struggled to speak. She braced herself. These were her parents. They were the right people to share her misery with.

"Xavier divorced me," she said without looking at them.

"What?" Mum asked.

She sobbed silently.

"He divorced you?" Dad asked.

She nodded slightly as she wiped her nose.

"Why the hell did he divorce you? What the hell have you done?!" Mum yelled, making her flinch.

"Calm down, Nina. Let's understand her side of the story," Dad said.

"Can we... can we have this conversation inside, please?" she pleaded.

"Hell no! You are not entering this house until you tell us what you did to make your husband divorce you!" Mum yelled.

Her heart tightened severely.

"Why did he divorce you?" Dad asked.

She sobbed. "He... I... he found out I... I cheated on him."

"What?" Dad asked.

Mum let out a mocking laugh.

"What do you mean he found out?" Dad asked.

She didn't respond but maintained her gaze down as she let out sobs.

"Giselle, you cheated on your husband?" he asked.

"I have always known you to be a very stupid girl. I never knew you were also a cheap whore!" Mum spat, adding to her aching heart.

She sobbed more.

"You think you can drag our family name into the mud? You are a bloody joker, Giselle," Mum said.

"I made a mistake, Mum," she sobbed.

She scoffed.

"I didn't intend for this to happen," she cried.

"Yeah right," Mum muttered.

"I am sorry."

"Sorry is a messed-up strategy, you dirty thing," Mum retorted.

Her heart ached continuously.

"But just so you know, you only brought shame to yourself and your unknown dead and deranged parents."

She froze.

She looked at her mother. She tilted her head, looking at her with boldness and nonchalance.

What? What did... what did she just say?

"Nina," Dad warned.

"Terry, don't," she snapped at him.

"What... what do you mean?" Giselle asked. Her voice almost sounded like a whisper.

"Nothing. She didn't say anything. Just get your luggage and come in," Dad said.

"Hell no, Terry. Hell no!" Mum snapped. "It is time she knows the truth about her real identity!" Mum yelled, scowling at her.

Giselle clenched the handle of her luggage nervously. Why was she like this? She had never seen her mother like this before.

"We are not your real parents," Mum said.

Giselle froze.

Giselle sighed as she unlocked the door to Harley’s office. She walked in and turned on the lights. So much for partying. If it weren't for Damien, she wouldn't be there. She would be with her kids right now, not witnessing the drama between Xavier and Arabella. So annoying. She couldn't even drink. She was banned from taking anything beyond water and fruit juice.Drinks had literally destroyed her. She couldn't let that happen again. She walked toward the desk and picked up the only file on it, which had "Monday" written on it.Opening it, she discovered it was Walker’s shoot. Wow. Another shoot. She blushed, recalling her huge portrait on the wall of his company building. She couldn't believe her eyes. She looked very beautiful in the picture. She loved it.Damien was such a nice guy. The night is beautiful and a bit windy. It is past eight pm and the city's lights are igniting the beautiful city. Lens Masterpiece company has two huge lights at top of the building that is pointing to the sky. The building is booming with music, and moving down, you would see a projector on the wall of the building, displaying most of Arabella’s personal pictures and some of her and Xavier together. A lot of exotic cars are piling up in front of building. There are a lot of press and photographers all over the place taking pictures of the arriving guests in their beautiful attires. There are flashes of lights from the cameras all over the area, giving the sense of a Met Gala event or Oscars. There is a red carpet on the ground, leading from the end spot of the company's compound to the inside of the company. There is also a long red ribbon on both sides of the carpet, separating the press and the photographers from the carpet pathway. Guests dressed in very beautiful and expen

“Big sis," Alex called.Giselle got on her feet and walked around her desk while still staring at Alex. He was amazed to see her.So was she.He looked different. She hadn't seen him in a long time, even after she got married. He was very tall, muscular, and very handsome too.She got closer to him, and they hugged each other."I can't believe my eyes," he said, unwrapping her and looking at her from head to toe."You look different and more beautiful," he added. She chuckled.
