Scott's POV

I had to act non-chalant for the sake of my daughter. I had no choice but to divorce Annabel and agree to a marriage to Michelle.

When Annabel was thrown out of the house, I ordered a man from a private source to watch over her, give her a house to stay and make sure to keep her safe. However, since then I have not had the opportunity to call him.

In order not to attract my father's attention, I must keep away from anything that could get him suspicious. For this reason, I stuck to following Michelle around, getting pre-wedding photos and purchasing whatever she thinks is nice.

Getting her hair fixed, I stepped outside and quickly pulled out my phone to call the guard I'd placed in charge of Annabel.

"Well? Is she okay?" I asked the moment the call went through.

The voice on the other end took few seconds to reply. When it eventually did, it was muffled voices that I couldn't quite place.

"Speak to me properly, will you?!" I shouted into the phone.

"I couldn't find her,"
