I felt lightheaded, and I realised this wasn't about the questions alone but hunger. I hadn't eaten breakfast and even skipped dinner last night, but thinking of my daughter and the life growing in me at the moment, I calmed down.

“Enough!” I actually didn’t calm down; I just held myself together as I screamed. “What does my story have to do with the governor?”

“Well, you are–”

“So what if I'm representing her? I am not the one running for president.” I cut one journalist off, just like they did with me.

“True, but if she becomes president, you are to be the chief of staff, the one to advise her on how to run the nation.”

“I see. So tell me, how will that affect her presidency?”

“Other nations might not want to work with us.”

“If that will happen, then we will give up the seat. Until then, we are going to try, and we ask that you give us a chance without judging us.” I firmly said, and no one seemed to have a question anymore.
