THE PLANE TOUCHED down with a gentle bump, rousing Adriano from his slumber. He looked out the window, and it was dark and blank.

"We have arrived, sir," a beautiful air hostess said to him. Adriano nodded and got out of his reclining chair. He had fallen asleep mid-flight and slept for the rest of the journey. It was a restless sleep that left his mind troubled.

He and Fabio had caught up on most of the things they missed and enjoyed the beauty of Italy in the few hours Adriano had left. They visited their favorite childhood stores and bars, the places they frequented when they used to run operations for the mafia.

It was a nostalgic, bittersweet feeling.

If anything, Italy felt like home more than America ever did, Adriano snorted inwardly.
