Just as Caspian was about to make his way towards the bed to rest, the loud ringing of his phone on the nightstand caught his attention.

Irritated, he walked over to it and, without glancing at the caller ID, picked it up and placed it to his ear.

“Hello, who is this?” he asked in a cold and harsh tone. He assumed it was one of the workers from the company, but the next voice he heard made him pause.

“Daddy, is mommy with you?” Liam’s tender and soft voice came through the phone, sounding not quite excited.

Caspian pulled the phone away from his ear to check the ID, wondering why he was hearing Liam's voice instead of a worker’s.

"It’s Liam,” Caspian muttered under his breath as he realized the call was from Julia’s apartment at the estate.

He placed the phone back to his ear. “Liam, what’s wrong? And no, Mommy isn’t here with me,” Caspian asked, now sounding a bit concerned for Liam.

“Well, the nanny is about to leave, and Mommy isn’t home yet. I called to see if she’s with you,” Lia

Julia woke up slowly, her eyes fluttering open to the soft morning light filtering through the curtains. She blinked, feeling the warmth of the bed and the softness of the sheets against her skin. But something felt off.She shifted slightly, and that’s when the realization hit her: Caspian, last night, sex.Julia looked under the bedsheets swiftly and realized she was completely naked. A sharp gasp escaped her lips as last night’s memories rushed back like a flood. Her heart raced as she remembered everything—how she had slept with Caspian, the man who had been driving her mad with his reckless behavior lately.Caspian had killed those men without a second thought, and she had been furious with him.But somehow, anger had turned into something else, something she couldn’t control, and now here she was, naked and vulnerable.Julia buried her face in her hands, her mind spinning with confusion and guilt. How did she let this happen? She had been so angry at him last night, yet somehow,

Caspian sat up in bed, his movements heavy and slow, his eyes glazed with the fog of alcohol. His fingers gripped Julia’s wrist tightly, pulling her closer. She could smell the whiskey on his breath, feel the warmth of his skin as his grip tightened. Her heart raced, unsure of what would come next. He leaned forward, his lips pressing against hers in a drunken, unsteady kiss.Julia’s first instinct was to pull away, to be angry, but her body betrayed her. The heat between them, the roughness of his kiss, stirred something deep inside her.She hesitated, caught in the moment, her mind spinning with uncertainty. Should she push him away? Or should she surrender to the emotions that had been simmering between them for so long? His lips moved against hers again, more forceful this time, and suddenly she didn’t want to pull away anymore. She kissed him back, her hands instinctively reaching for his shoulders, feeling the tension in his muscles. Her heartbeat quickened, and for a moment, ev

Caspian’s voice trembled as he reached out. “Please, Julia!” He called, desperation thick in his tone. But before he could finish his plea, Julia yanked her hand out of his grip with a cold, furious stare.“You should have thought twice before you killed those men.” Her eyes blazed with a mix of rage and fury, her body tense as she took a step back, turning away from him.She couldn’t stand the sight of him, not after what he’d done.Caspian watched as Julia stormed off, her footsteps heavy with emotion, and he felt his heart constrict painfully in his chest. He had only wanted to protect her, to keep her safe. Killing those gang members had been the only solution in his mind. They had been threatening her life, and Caspian wasn’t the kind of man to wait around and see how far someone was willing to go. He acted. He always acted. But Julia didn’t understand that. Her disgust was clear. She saw what he had done as cruel and unnecessary, something unforgivable. It gnawed at him, twistin

The morning light streamed gently through the thin curtains, casting a soft, golden glow over the room.Caspian stirred from his sleep, blinking groggily as his eyes adjusted to the daylight. The first person he saw was Julia, curled up beside him, her face peaceful, her breathing soft and steady. She looked so calm, so fragile that she could get hurt easily.Caspian frowned, remembering the fear that had gripped her last night. They had returned to her home after shopping at the mall, only to be greeted by a chilling message scrawled across her living room wall.Julia had paled at the sight, her hands trembling, her eyes wide with terror. It had taken everything in him to calm her down, to reassure her that she was safe with him. He'd stayed with her throughout the night, holding her close while she slept, though sleep had eluded him at some point.Guilt gnawed at him. She had no idea who he truly was; what he was capable of. And for her sake, he intended to keep it that way.His han

Caspian’s breath was heavy, the cool night air doing little to calm the storm raging within him.His hand tightened around the grip of his gun, the cold steel resting against his palm as he stared down at the man lying on the dusty floor of the abandoned warehouse. The man groaned in pain, his hands pressed against the gash on his side where Caspian had shot him earlier.Blood seeped between his fingers, staining the ground beneath him in deep crimson. Yet still, he refused to speak.Caspian’s patience had worn thin. Julia's face flashed in his mind, her fearful eyes and trembling voice replaying over and over again. Those men had threatened her, and now this man—this lowly grunt—had the nerve to stay silent when he demanded answers.“Tell me who’s in charge!” Caspian commanded, his voice echoing through the vast expanse of the warehouse. He pointed his gun at the man, his finger hovering dangerously over the trigger. The man glared up at him, blood on his lips, his chest rising and f

Caspian gripped the steering wheel so tightly his knuckles turned white. His eyes were dark, focused, and filled with rage as he drove through the streets. The buildings blurred past, but he didn’t care about the scenery. There was only one thing on his mind now; revenge. The pawnshop, the place where it had all started, where they’d marked Julia’s house, threatened her, made her fear for her life and her son’s.These men thought they could toy with her and walk away unscathed, but they had no idea who they were dealing with.He pushed the gas pedal harder, the engine roaring as the car sped through the city. Each second that passed only fueled his anger more. His thoughts raced, chaotic images of what he would do to them.Maybe he’d break their bones one by one, or perhaps he’d make them beg for their lives before he silenced them for good and make them swim in their own blood.Caspian’s mind raged like a storm as he envisioned how their punishment would go.But just as he was relish
