Miriam’s POV

The man named Delvano had separated from us along the way, so the person following us had the wrong lead. More gunshots were fired as our vehicle sped dangerously across the highway.

“How did he know where we were?” Someone yelled from the front of the truck as I shivered in the back. The car slowed to a stop by a deserted construction site. We had lost the man chasing us but I had a feeling he was very close.

“He is tracking us, somehow. He has to be.”
