Chapter4_ Contract

DOMINICK

"Is it done?" I asked Renee and he nodded.

"Get her prepared for tonight's event" I ordered. I watched the footage closely in order to ensure that Leila wasn't deceiving me this time. I didn't trust that bitch even for a bit.

After a while, Renee came to inform me that she has been prepared for the mission tonight.

Arriving at the casino an hour later, I moved through the numerous people, drinking and partying at the club floor while I went towards the underground part— where my transaction would be held.

I checked the time on my wrist-watch, Leila should be awake, any moment from now. I arrived in front of the VVIP ward and the guards let me enter even before I presented my ID to them.

"Mr. Warren is waiting for you Inside" one of them said as he directed me into the room.

The sounds of moans filled the room as soon as I entered. It didn't stop even when Mr. Warren and his woman noticed my presence in the room.

There was a loud groan before everything elapsed and the naked woman left the couch and approached me.

She touched my shoulder with her finger in a seductive manner.

"Hi" she greeted me but I stared at her in disdain.

"Mr. Castillo… welcome" The elderly man greeted me as he stood up from my bed. He moved towards the counter and took two glasses and a bottle of liquor.

I sat down on the couch where he had just had sex with a slut. I had come to discuss business and nothing would stop me until I got what I wanted.

Mr. Warren lit a cigarette and puffed a bit before attending to me.

"How are you, Mr. Castillo? I had expected you to come earlier" he revealed.

"Something came up. Have the goods gotten to you yet? You haven't made the payments" I questioned him.

"Oh, that?" He asked,

"You know, Mr. Castillo, how it all works in this deal. Half-goods, no payment. Your men brought me incomplete goods so I didn't pay you."

"What?"

"Was it incomplete?"

"Who's there?" Mr. Warren suddenly asked and one of his guards entered.

"Bring the merchandise" he ordered.

After a short while, the same guard returned with a briefcase of gold and coke.

"Look at them. They're incomplete. I was even surprised, Mr. Castillo. This isn't my first time doing business with you and you know how I hate my incomplete goods, yet you brought them that way" the man explained to me.

"I'm sorry, Mr. warren. I will surely see to the completion of your goods" I said and stood up to leave.

"Don't worry, I'm not angry. Matter of fact, I am inviting you to play chess with me tonight in my gambling den"

"Sure, I will be there," I said.

After I left Mr. Warren, I texted Renee to check on Leila. She was going to help me in tonight's mission with Mr. Warren and I didn't want any mistakes. He informed me that she had just woken up so I returned back to the mansion to check.

Just as he explained, she had indeed woken up but was still dizzy.

"Wake up, Leila" I demanded but she didn't respond. She only stared at me with sleepy eyes.

"I am talking to you" "wake up"

I exchanged glances with Renee and he understood quickly what I meant. Renee went out and returned with a cup of water. Without her expectations, I poured the cup of cold liquid on her face.

LEILA

I yelled as soon as the cold water touched my face. The sleep subsided but then, I was enraged by Dominick's action towards me.

"Why the hell did you do that?" I asked. I only got silence as a response from him.

"I thought you died in your sleep" he replied, standing up from the bed.

"That's hilarious. Why would I died from sleep if you didn't give me an overdose?" I questioned him. He knew what I meant but chose to ignore it. Dominick checked his watch and sighed deeply.

"Get prepared, we have somewhere to go" he instructed me.

"Where is that?" I asked in return.

"Don't ask me silly questions and obey Mr orders, Leila!"

"It's fine. You didn't have to shout at me" I cautioned him. Dominick's face turned cold, I didn't care because I believed that he wouldn't hurt me. He promised to but he never did.

"Sign this" his assistant said as he offered me a piece of paper.

"What is this?" I asked as I took the document from the table. I realized that it was a contract. "What's this for?" I questioned but no one responded.

"Dominick?"

"Sign the fucking contract, Leila!"

"Why would I sign? I don't know what the content is? I am not willing to sign anything." I declared.

"I won't ask you again. Just sign the freaking papers" Dominick yelled.

"I said I won't! Don't you understand me. I am not some property that you can just own. Even if you bought me for a couple of dollars. I can just find a way to get your money back, Dominick" I retorted.

"You wanna do this the hard way, right?" He grinned and soon, he pulled out his gun and pointed it at me.

"Now, you're going to sign the papers and I will pretend like you never defied me"

"No," I blurted out. "I won't"

Dominick and his right-hand man exchange glances with each other. They didn't expect that I would reply to them that way. Even when Dominick cracked his gun, I didn't flinch. I knew that he had better use of me so he wouldn't dare kill me now.
