I held the exile order in my hand and turned to leave this disgusting place.

However, before I could step out the main doors, someone called out to me from behind.

It was Hunter’s Beta.

“Leia, you’re not planning to just walk away like this, are you?”

He was holding a small potion, and the smile on his face was lewd and sinister.

“You were an outsider to begin with. You stayed in our pack for so long and even used improper means to seduce the Alpha. I’m sure you’ve learned quite a bit about our pack’s internal matters by now.”

I looked at him warily. “What do you want?”

The Beta let out a sly laugh. “To prevent you from leaking our secrets after you leave, you’ll need to drink this memory potion. Once you drink it, you’ll forget everything that happened here, and there’s no risk of you exposing our confidential information.”

When a wall collapses, everyone pushes it.

If this had happened before, he wouldn’t have dared to speak to me like this, not even if he had a hundred lives.

Everyone once knew that, as Luna-to-be, I had signed multiple cooperation agreements for the pack.

They had treated me with respect, especially this Beta, who had repeatedly flattered me and hinted that I should promote him once I became Luna.

Now, the way he looked at me was filled with contempt.

Staring at his shifty expression, I said coldly, “Why should I drink it?”

The smile vanished from his face, and his tone turned sharp. “Because you climbed into a he-wolf’s bed to rise to power. We have every reason to question your character. Only exiling you is mercy enough. Don’t be ungrateful.”

“Climbed into a he-wolf’s bed?

“You’re slandering me based on a few photos. Do you have actual proof?”

“Of course we do.”

Freya walked over, swaying her hips.

“If you really have nothing to hide, then hand over your phone and let us take a look. Do you dare?

“Of course you don’t. Maybe you’re a spy sent by another pack to steal intelligence. I’m sure your phone is full of confidential files.”

Before I could react, the Beta lunged for my phone.

I wasn’t careful enough, and he snatched it away.

“Give it back.”

Freya took the phone from him and sneered. “Did I hit a nerve? Is that why you’re so angry?”

Hunter tried unlocking it using both of our birthdays, but the screen remained locked. Frustration crept into his voice as he demanded, “What’s the password?”

I looked at him coldly. “It’s our anniversary. Since the moment I became your mate, I’ve never changed it.”

His expression grew darker by the second. He didn’t want to admit that he had already forgotten that date.

I snatched the phone back and entered the password, unlocking the screen.

When he saw the wallpaper of the two of us taken on his birthday last year, his lips parted slightly.

Then he grabbed the phone again and opened the gallery, searching for evidence of my supposed betrayal.

The moment he saw the close photos of my brother and me, his face instantly turned grim.

“Leia, what else do you have to say?”

“That’s my brother. Give me back my phone!”

I lunged forward to take it, and we ended up struggling over the device.

However, I never expected that his hand would suddenly shift, claws emerging. In the next second, he slashed across my face.

The phone slipped from my hand and crashed onto the floor.
