Chapter 31

Damon’s POV

The rest of the night after I changed my bedsheets, we just laid talking.

Mostly me answering questions about myself, how I was raised, what I enjoyed to do for hobbies, my friends, my parents and how close we were and my sister. She’s not around much so we discussed her at length.

My sister Alissa was born to my dad’s teenage girlfriend, they were not mates and never marked each other. While dating my dad Alissa’s mum met her fated mate, and although my dad wasn’t happy he was ok because he believed in the moon goddess, then when Alissa was around four year old her mum passed away in a road traffic incident while Alissa was with my dad for a few days.

After a few months passed she was waking with nightmares, dad brought in a specialist to help his daughter process what had happened, unexpectedly the specialist was Eliza his fated mate and my mum. Alissa grew resentful towards my mum and felt like she was being replaced.

When Alissa was around 9 and my dad was now 28 and my mum was 26 they found out they were expecting a baby, Alissa started to act out, although my mum kept making excuses for her actions dad told her straight. She was old enough to know better and he expected better of her.

Alissa had to be taken out of school, private tutors were brought in and still nothing worked. My dad wasn’t happy and tried to spend more time with her one to one but the final straw was drawn when Alissa’s jealousy peeked. Mum went into labour and her water broke at the top of the stairs as dad and Alissa were about to head out on one of their one to one days! Alissa was enraged, she came out of her bedroom and shoved mum out of the way. She says it was an accident but the CCTV, eye witnesses and dad all saw the rage in her face.

Although mum survived the fall down the stairs, the baby didn’t. He would have been the future Alpha, Alissa was taken into a mental health unit, however when she got her wolf she escaped and went seeking revenge, she had it fixed in her brain that they wanted rid of her all along.

She broke in, smashed the house up, tried to poison mum and even three knives at dad. Once they captured her, she was placed in a state of the art secure facility.

Dad has been to see her a few times but it’s like she can’t see past the fact she didn’t get her happy family. She is jealous and would do anything to ruin us, especially me! Her little brother, who is set to be Alpha! She thinks I stole her life, like everyone is against her even though reality is that if she could be a normal part of the family she would be welcomed with open arms.

Angel was shocked, she had no clue about my sister, only the beta and a couple of top warriors are aware.

“Why was she jealous?” Angel asked confused

“She wanted to stay daddies little princess and with a baby coming she wasn’t getting the attention! If she had just been nice she would have realised there is more than enough love to go around.” I informed her

“OK, let’s move onto a lighter subject”she suggested

“I would say yes, however my love, the sun is starting to peek through the blackout curtains as it’s nearly 6am and I think we could use some sleep!” I pointed out as I motioned towards the windows

Her cute giggle caught my attention, “well I am tired I suppose”

I kissed her deeply, pulled her back flush with my stomach and pulled the covers up-to our necks, “Get some rest my love, we can talk more later and you can ask me anything you like” I promised

It didn’t take long for angel to drift off into dreamland and I have no idea how long I was watching her sleep before I drifted off too.

It was the most peaceful sleep I had ever had.
