Chapter 5 - Cheyenne's POV
I walked around the table and knelt down by her side. Jax was watching me very closely as he knew what was going on. She was trying not to shift into her dragon right here in this room.
“Mags? Is that you?” I asked quietly.
When Tora’s head slowly looked in my direction, I could see yellow and orangish flecks swirling in her eyes.
“Maggie. We haven’t had the chance to properly meet. I am Alida or Cheyenne, whatever you want to call me. I am the Queen Alpha for all the wolves and lycans species. I promise you, I mean no harm to Tora. She is my friend, as I hope you will be some day too.” I said as calm as I could with a soft smile on my face.
Maggie let out a huff and a little grey smoke came out of Tora’s little button nose. That’s when Jax put his hand on her shoulder causing her to turn towards him.

*Jax’s POV*The next day Tora continued her training while I was meeting with Alpha Nik and Alida. We had discussed about introducing Maggie to the rest of the pack and Alpha Nik agreed to it as long as Charlie and Dalaini were there along with Alida and Gunner. Just as a precaution which I completely understood. *Jax's POV*Gunner and I stood just inside the tree line so we wouldn’t be spotted. I wanted to run out and kill both of those men but Gunner held me back. He reminded me that Alida wouldn’t let any harm come to Tora but as her mate my lycan wanted to protect her. After watching the whole event unfold there were a few times we had to suppress our laughter. Koa always did like to toy around with her enemies before killing them. *Tora’s POV*I couldn’t believe how well the soldiers were handling having a dragon on their territory. Once the nerves calmed down and the anxiety subsided, it was nothing but the feeling of butterflies in my stomach from all the happiness and excitement that surrounded me.“Maggie?” One soldier asked.“Yes?” She asked kindly.“This might sound weird but um…” He stopped and looked around at his fellow pack members. *Cheyenne’s POV*Gunner and I were the first to show up at the same building we had met everyone before. Gunner held the door open for me while I walked in and flashed him a small smile. *Cheyenne’s POV*I wasn’t exactly sure how to bring the subject up to Tyler that his mate was at our meeting, much less ask him why she would’ve been there, one that even he couldn’t be at. Do I just rip the Band-Aid off, so to speak, and just come right out and say it? Was there a way to even sugarcoat it to try to break it to him nicely?
