"And what about me?" Odette was the one who asked the question.

"How are you doing, sweetheart?" The woman gulped for air when Jacob inquired. Odette's rage flared in my direction, and she strode over to me and grabbed my hair before Jacob could intervene.

"How could you?" She yelled angrily.

I was caught off guard when Odette attacked me. I was stunned and unable to respond! Jacob's voice was the one that jolted me awake. Then I made every effort to flee Odette, but she had gone insane and was clutching my hair ferociously.

"Odette, stop this right now!" Odette ignored him, and all he could do was gasp as her sharp nails scraped my face.
