Penelope’s pov

I contemplated going over there to help my friend, but I didn’t have any power to stop whatever was happening to her. I hoped she would learn her lesson after this. Just when I was about to put down my phone, I saw comments circulating on the video.

Penelope is such a bad friend. She must have pushed poor Lena to attend the party.

I’m sure she must have seen this, but she’s not even responding or trying to save her friend.

I scoffed. What exactly did they want me to do? There wa

Sebastian’s povIt was the boys’ locker room. She had no business being there.“What are you doing here?” I asked. She smiled as though my question amused her. “Looking for you.”I stared at her for a moment before looking towards the door. Perhaps she had mistaken the room, although I doubted it. She seemed perfectly aware of where she was.“Well, you’ve found me. Now leave.”Her smile vanished, but she didn’t move.“You’re always so serious.”“I don't think I know you. Please, say what you want or leave.”She took another step towards me, ignoring my obvious displeasure. I had already picked up my bag, and I was considering walking past her when she moved closer and attempted to wrap her arms around me.I immediately stepped back. “What the hell are you doing?”She laughed softly, apparently finding my reaction amusing. “Relax. I’m only saying hello.”“Then say hello from over there.”I wasn’t in the mood for whatever game she thought she was playing. I didn’t even know her name, and

  • FALLING FOR HIS BODYGUARD'S DAUGHTER    Chapter 100

Sebastian’s povI was beginning to hate everything about that school. It wasn’t because the classes were difficult or because I was having trouble adjusting to the French education system. I had never particularly enjoyed school, even before coming to France, but at least back home, I had people I could tolerate. I had my friends, my usual routine, and the freedom to do whatever I wanted without constantly being reminded of who my father was. Here, everything was different. The moment people discovered I was Edward Vanderbilt’s son, I stopped being an ordinary student. Suddenly, everybody wanted to know me. People who had barely acknowledged my existence before began greeting me in the hallways, offering to help me with things I could easily do myself, and finding ridiculous reasons to start conversations. Even teachers seemed to treat me differently. Some were unnecessarily polite, while others appeared to be watching my every move.It was exhausting!I couldn’t walk into a classroom

  • FALLING FOR HIS BODYGUARD'S DAUGHTER    Chapter 99

Penelope’s povI immediately took Lena’s hand and pulled her towards the closet. My heart was pounding so hard that I could barely hear anything else. I didn’t know how many men had entered the house or what they wanted, but I knew we couldn’t afford to stay where we were. The voices downstairs had made it clear that they were searching the rooms, and it was only a matter of time before they came upstairs.Lena followed without arguing. I glanced at her as I opened the closet door, expecting to see panic written all over her face. She was frightened, that much was obvious, but she was surprisingly composed. Her eyes moved around the room as though she was trying to understand what was happening, but she didn’t make a sound or ask unnecessary questions. I was almost surprised by how well she was keeping herself together.I pulled her inside and carefully closed the door behind us. The closet wasn’t particularly spacious, and with both of us inside, there was barely enough room to move.

  • FALLING FOR HIS BODYGUARD'S DAUGHTER    Chapter 98

Penelope’s povThe first few weeks passed more quickly than I expected. My father continued applying for jobs, and I spent most of my time settling into our new environment. We explored the neighbourhood together, visited a few shops, and gradually became familiar with the area. There were days when we went out for lunch, and others when we simply stayed home watching television. My father seemed particularly happy whenever we did something together, and I found myself appreciating those moments more than I ever had before. He had always been a hardworking man, but I was beginning to realise how rarely he had allowed himself to relax. For years, he had been occupied with the demands of the Vanderbilt household. Even when he wasn’t working, there was always something that required his attention. He had been so focused on fulfilling his responsibilities that he hardly had time for himself. Now, things were different. He could wake up without worrying about being called away for an assig

  • FALLING FOR HIS BODYGUARD'S DAUGHTER    Chapter 97

Penelope’s povIt had been a month since my father and I left Manhattan, and I could honestly say that moving to Seattle was the best decision we had ever made. For the first time in a long while, I was genuinely happy. There was something comforting about waking up every morning without having to worry about what the day would bring. I no longer had to deal with people who made it their responsibility to remind me that I wasn’t as privileged as they were. I didn’t have to worry about running into Madeline in the corridors or listening to her endless complaints about how I supposedly ruined her life. There were no Vanderbilt family members to dictate what I could or couldn’t do, and nobody was constantly reminding me of my place. It was peaceful. Our new house wasn’t as enormous as the Vanderbilt mansion, but I loved it. It was a beautiful property in a quiet neighbourhood, with enough space for the two of us to live comfortably. It had a lovely living room, a spacious kitchen, and t

  • FALLING FOR HIS BODYGUARD'S DAUGHTER    Chapter 96

Sebastian’s povI was beginning to understand that people in this school had a very strange way of showing respect. A few days ago, most of the guys had barely acknowledged my presence unless they wanted something from me. Some had been curious about my background, while others seemed to find my quietness amusing. There were even those who thought deliberately provoking me would be an excellent way to get my attention. Now, everything had changed. Ever since the incident at the party, people had become noticeably more careful around me. The news that I was Edward Vanderbilt’s son had spread through the school, and apparently, that information had been enough to change the way everyone treated me. People who had previously walked past without saying a word now greeted me in the corridors. Those who had laughed at my refusal to socialise suddenly wanted to have conversations with me.It was amusing, in a rather irritating way. I hadn’t changed. I was still the same person who had walked
