Grace Alder Pov. 

The next day in the office everything was silent because Mr. Kingsley was out for the meeting the whole morning. I am happy that he's not here to order me around, after last night's event I came home early than expected and cried myself the whole night. I just wish Mr. Kingsley won't come for the whole day. 

And just then my phone ringed I looked at the unknown number and pick it up. 

" Hello? " 

" In the parking in 10 minutes. " what the fuck..? 

" But sir you have a meeting with  Mr. Thomas in 15 minutes. " I replied. 

" The meeting is shifted to the restaurant now go to my cabin and bring his file with you. You're attending the meeting with me. "  

"Yes sir. " after that the line went dead. 

How did he even get my number..!? I pick the file from his cabin went to the parking. I saw his car and walked toward him but to my shock, I saw him in driving seat..! Why is he driving by himself..?

Avoiding the thought I set on the passenger's seat. 

" Here is the file you asked for. " I said. He started the engine and starts driving. The ride was boring, I can't expect anything else from Mr. Kingsley. 

To entertain me I click on some music and instantly fell in love with the beat, I was enjoying the beat when suddenly the music went off. I open my eyes to see Mr. Kingsley turned it off. I'm in no mood to argue so kept waiting to arrive at the destination. 

In the restaurant we met Jack Thomas, I don't like him at the very first meeting. He just kept flirting with me but his way of flirting and the way Mr. Glen was using the other day was totally different. Mr. Glen was far better than him. I ignored him when he kept touching my hands, I don't want to create any drama here. Mr. Kingsley was too busy in the deal I doubt if he has noticed what this Jack guy was doing. 

" So Ms. Alder what do you of it? " Mr. Thomas asked again inappropriately touching my hands. 

"It's good. " I answered removing his hand. Now he's making me too much uncomfortable. To avoid the situation I came up with the idea only way out here is to get out of here. 

" Please excuse me I have to use the washroom. " I said and stand up from my seat and instantly felt a hand on my butt cheeks. My eyes widen when I felt a squeeze there. 

" Why something wrong..?" That bastard just squeezed my ass and know asking me if something is wrong..!?

" Actually, Yes Mr. Thomas there is.. And it's you. " I shout at him and slapped him hard on his face. " Hope you'll learn your lesson. " 

" What the fuck, do you know what you have just done..? " 

" Yes I slapped the biggest asshole in front of me and If you try to touch my ass one more time I'm not going to think twice before breaking your nose. " I warned him. 

" Aldrik looks what your assistant,  did are just going to watch this.. ?" I looked at Mr. Kingsley who was just listening to our argument silently. 

" Oh so your not going to say anything to your assistant, maybe she gave you something more important than this deal, right. " This guy has no shame. 

" Mr. Thomas-" I was about to teach him his lesson but Mr. Kingsley interrupted.  

" Go sit in the car and wait for me. " Mr. Kingsley calmly said. I took my bag and left the table. I hope Mr. Kingsley will teach him a lesson in a good way. 

I waited for Mr. Kingsley and he came after 15 minutes. What were they doing for 15 minutes in there? When Mr. Kingsley was walking toward me I saw his hand was bruised and his eyes were red. What exactly happened inside..!?

He just came and set in the driving seat, without uttering a word he started the car and drives at full speed. The atmosphere in the car was so instance I did not dare to utter a word. 

Coming back to the office building, he jumps out of the car and angrily walked toward his office, I followed him like a lost puppy. His eyes were burning with anger, his hands were bruised, I'm getting worried now. 

" Mr. Kingsley. " I spoke when we entered his office. 

" Pack your thing and leave my building Ms. Alder, you are fired. " 

WHAT..!? 

" But Mr. Ki-" He cuts me. " No Ms. Alder, do you have any idea how important that deal was for us, for this company.. No.. and now because of you, I have lost the deal and now we have to pay for it. I can't take this anymore, so pack your things and leave this instant. " He shouted at me. 

" I did nothing wrong, Mr. Kingsley, he touched me in a wrong way what do you expect me to do, stand there and let him do anything he wished..?" 

" You could have just ignored him.. But no you decided to insult him and slap him. Do you who is he? He can destroy you in a second. " 

" Ignore him.. ? That's exactly what I was doing from the moment we entered that restaurant. And as for this job, I'm leaving it and not because you fired me but because I can't work at a company that can't respect women. " 

I said and burst out of his office to mine and took my things and left the office building in anger. 

Entering my apartment I realize what I just and cursed myself. Now I have no job, No way to earn what I'm going to do..? What I'm going to say to aunt Oli..? 

I put my face between the pillow and screamed with everything in me.

A few minutes later I heard a ping and saw a message from Roger, he asked me about my weekend I told him it was fine. 

Well, nothing in my life is fine right now.

Out of nowhere, he called me and I picked his call. 

" Hello. " I answered. " hey how are you.. ? "

" I'm fine.. " 

" Why you don't sound fine to me..? " 

" It's because I'm not. I lost my job just now. " 

" What why..?" he asked. 

" Well, you can say I was being childish and fought with my boss. " 

"Oh so are okay..? " 

" Well, not really I have to find a job before my saving ends. " 

" I can help you with.." 

" Like really..? How? " I curiously asked. 

" I have my ways. Why don't you meet me tomorrow and I will help you to find a job..? " 

" Perfect I'll see you tomorrow then. Thank you so much, Roger.. " 

" That's what friends are for right.. "

" Right.." I thanked him again and cut the call. 

I finally calm down after talking to him. I just wish I'll find the job ASAP. 

Aldrik  Kingsley Pov. 

What the hell I just did..? I fired her, Why? Because I was scared. Yes. I was scared of the feeling I was feeling for her. 

When today at the restaurant the way Jack was touching her and making her uncomfortable, I felt the anger emerged in me. I don't know I felt like this but that was bothering me a lot. That is why I told Ms. Alder to wait in a car. 

And when she left my burst of anger exploded and I punched that fucker to the dead. 

When I came back to Ms. Alder I saw her concern toward me and my injured hand and I felt it again like someone just pinched my soul. I shouldn't be feeling like this toward her. 

I can't afford this type of feeling toward anyone when I'm working on touching the top of the world. I have no time for this and don't have a plan too that's why I fired her. I can't see any other way out of it except firing her. I know I did wrong but I can't help it. She's strong, beautiful, confident, and the best in her work. 

Now I have to find a new assistant again.
