Grace Alder Pov. 

I stretch my body as I woke up today, I finally got a full sleep after so long. What should I do today? It's Saturday and I had a weekend off, which means I have a full day for myself. 

I shoot up from my bed and went to do my morning rituals. Brushing my teeth and washing my face I came out to make some breakfast. I'm not good but I'm okay. I decided to make some bread omelet with orange juice.  

I called forgot to call aunt Olivia last night so I have to call her today and I haven't told her about the pick with Noah. 

After doing the breakfast I spend some time cleaning the house and later took a 2-hour long bath. It was relaxing taking a long bath after spending a week with Mr. Kingsley. 

I should make some friends here because it's quite lonely to spend the weekend alone. I remember how I used to spend weekends in Virginia with my friends and aunt Olivia. I used to go out a lot but here I am all alone. I miss my aunt a lot she took care of me like my mother when my actual mother never even cared about me. 

I shook the thought of my mother out of my mind and decided to go for a  shopping. I make a list of the things I wanted and went to the supermarket. 

Arriving at the market I start looking for the things I wanted. 

"Oh sorry. " Said the person whose cart accidentally hit mine. "It's okay. " I replied. 

"I'm Roger  by the way." He introduced himself.  " Grace. " We shook our hands. He's tall and handsome, he has really good physique too. 

" So are you alone here? " He asked. " Yeah. I just moved here a few months ago. " 

" Oh great I alone too. We can do the rest of the shopping together if you don't mind?" Why would I say no to such a handsome guy? 

" Yes. Of course. " 

Roger is a fun guy he told me he lives nearby and came here for shopping here on weekends. We exchanged our numbers and promised to meet again before moving our ways. 

I came back to my apartment and instantly got the ping on my phone. I checked the message it was from Roger, he asked me if I have reached safely and I replied with yes. He a sweet guy I should meet him again. 

After dinner, I called aunt Olivia. 

" Hey, pumpkin, " 

" Hey aunt  Oli," I replied. 

" How is my baby doing there?" 

" I'm good and I got something for you, " I said and send the photos to her. "Check your phone. " " Wait.." 

"OMG Gracy is it true? I thought you were messing with me you told me that you met Noah Wills. OH MY GOD, it's really him. " She started shouting on phone. 

" Aunty, relax before neighbors call the police. " 

" Tell me everything... " She asked me and told her about the event and also that Noah was gay. First, she didn't believe me but calm down a little bit when I promised her that I will ask Noah to talk to her. 

" Pumpkin I miss you dearly, why don't you came to meet me tomorrow? " She asked me. 

" I can't aunt Oli, I just have started working for Mr. Kingsley and it won't leave a good impact if I ask him for a day off in the very starting. " 

" Why don't you take a cab early in the morning and a flight to go back in the evening? Please pumpkin. " Her plan is quite good and do miss her a lot. 

" Fine, I'll book a cab for early morning. " I replied.  " Oh God, I so happy, I can't wait to see you. " 

" Me to aunt Oli. " 

Later I booked the cab and packed all the essential stuff. Roger asked for lunch next but told him that I'm visiting my aunt and promised him for next time. I quite like talking to him, he's a caring, handsome and sweet person. 

The next morning I woke up super early and took the cab and spent the time sleeping in the cab. 

" Hey, aunt Oli..... Look who's here..? " I shouted as I entered.

" Oh, Grace my dear. " I stopped when I heard this voice. " Mom? " 

" Grace you came? " Dad came from behind mom. 

" Dad..? What you are guys doing here.?" What Is going on here and why don't aunt Oli told me about this?

" Olivia invited us all here to catch up you know. And I didn't know you moved to New York? Why didn't you tell me? " mom said. 

" Like you care. " I replied. " Grace it's not a way to talk to your mother. " Dad scold me. 

" Where is my mom I don't see her or dad..? " I said and went inside to look for aunt Oli and ask her about all this. 

" So your Grace Hi I'm Phoebe Waller Cole's girlfriend. " The lady said. 

" Oh, you must be Grace as beautiful as your mother. By the way, I'm Denver Bridge Alexis's boyfriend. " Okay so they all are here but why..? 

" Where is aunt Olivia..? " I asked ignoring the so-called introduction. I don't know how many times I have met my parent's new partners. 

"Oh, she's in the kitchen. " Dad's girlfriend replied what was her name Phoebe right.. 

" Thanks " 

" Grace pumpkin you're here oh I missed you so much. " 

" Cut the crap aunt Oli. Why didn't you tell me they are coming. " 

" Would have you came if I have told you about this..? " 

" Of course not and you know the why." She knows that I don't like meeting my parents and hence she always tried to get us along. 

" Grace they are your parents give them a chance. " 

" How many times aunt Oli..?" I whispered. " Just this one " She requested. I can't say no to her and she knows that so I agreed. 

" Thank you. " and then she hugs me. 

After getting fresh up I finally got the courage to go down stare and meet my parents. 

" Hey mom, Hey dad. " I murmured. 

" Grace come look what Phoebe made for us. " Not even 'hey I missed you, okay, fine.' 

" Phoebe is a great chief than me. " mom chuckled at her joke. 

" Uhm Grace came here and tell me How's New York..? " as expected aunt Oli is the only one who takes intrust in my life. I took a seat next to her.

" Ooh yes Grace how's New York? " mom asked. "It's fine. How are you all.? " I replied. 

" Happy and enjoying life with Denver. He is the best company I have ever got. " Yesss... That's exactly said last time. 

" Same here, Phoebe is just great.. " dad said. 

" Oh great.." I whispered and they again got started talking about their life and their new partners. I rolled my eyes and started eating lunch. 

" Grace why don't you tell them about Noah Wills. " aunt Oli called me. 

" Oh, really you mean THE Noah Wills? Did you meet him? " Phoebe asked shockingly. 

" Yeah, I know him. " 

"Seriously? Can you talk to him about me? I have done my graduation in modeling too. " 

"Yes Grace please help, she has been trying to modeling for so long. " dad did not ask me about my career instead he wants me to help his girlfriend in her career. Wow, that's the reason I never liked reunions. 

" I'll talk to him. " I don't know why I replied this but I did. " Thank you much sweet pie. " I closed my eyes he called me that. I'm hearing this word from him after so long. He used to call me princess when I was small and today he called again only because I agreed to help his girlfriend. But I'm not going to lie I missed that, I missed him and mom a lot. 

During the whole time, my parents were busy with their partners and talking about how great they are. Aunt Oli does mention my name in the middle sometimes but they never took interest in what is going on in my life. 

Well, they stopped taking intrust in my life the moment they dropped me to aunt Olivia. I helped aunt Oli after lunch with the dishes. 

" I'm sorry pumpkin I thought after these they might get changed but I was wrong I'm sorry for ruining your Sunday pumpkin " That's why I love her the most. 

" Who said I didn't enjoy my day here, I do get to meet my sweet, beautiful aunt and that's all I wanted. " we hugged each other.

I sometimes felt like they regret giving birth to me. Before their divorce, they spent almost every minute arguing about everything but still were at least cared about me. But after the divorce they just like forgot that they even have a daughter. I always tried to achieve something to get their attention but  I was wrong they just don't want me in their life.

I mean like once mom even introduced me as her sister's daughter in front of her friend and I always blamed myself. They never came for my birthday or Christmas or new year's anything. I doubt if they know how old I'm. 

" Grace your is in few months what do want this year? " And as I mention here aunt Oli asked me. 

" Oh yes, 11th of September right. ? " mom's out now dad's turn. " Come on it in November 20th right. " Dad's out too. 

" I don't want anything aunt Oli. I have you and that's all it. " I smiled at her while she gave me a sympathetic look. " Well, I have a plane to catch so I'll take my leave. " I said and went to my room to grab my bag. 

" You're leaving so soon but I understand you have a job to do, but we love your company dear. " Denver said. "Yes, it was nice meeting you Grace, and don't forget to talk to Noah wills about me. " Alexis hugged me. 

" I wish you could stay Grace but that's fine.. Have a safe flight. " Mom came to hug me and dad too said his goodbye. 

" I'm sorry again pumpkin. " 

" Love you, aunt Oli. " I kissed her cheeks. I turned to look for my mom and dad who already forgot about me even before I exit. 

" By the way Mom, Dad my birthdate is October 7. But it's not like I have expected you to remember that. " and I left the house.
