Finally captured

last update publish date: 2026-07-21 22:26:15

Alpha Asher had finally caught me. His warriors had succeeded in capturing me.

My hands were tied behind my back, and his warriors dragged me away like a rabid stray they had finally cornered.

The ropes dug into my wrists the moment I tried to break free, biting deeper into my skin with every movement.

Damn it.

Whoever tied me up knew exactly what they were doing.

I tried again and again but every movement only caused only the ropes to cut deeper, drawing fresh beads of blood that trickled down my wrists. I gritted my teeth, forcing down the hiss of pain.

My struggle didn’t go unnoticed. One of the warriors glanced back and let out a mocking laugh.

“Still trying to fight?”He walked back toward me, his eyes filled with disgust.“You really don’t know your place, do you?”

Before I could answer, his boot slammed into my stomach.

The impact sent me crashing onto the ground. Pain ripped through my body, and I coughed violently, a mouthful of blood spilling from my lips.

“You stupid rogue,” he spat, staring down at me like I was nothing but garbage. “You should be grateful the Alpha wants to see you alive.”

He grabbed the ropes and yanked me back up.

“Don’t worry. Once the Alpha sees you, he might kill you himself.”

My jaw tightened as I glared at him.

Damn these bastards.

My heart slammed violently against my ribcage as the warriors dragged me forward through the dimly lit corridor. My wrists, still bound behind my back, throbbed with every movement, and my bare feet, torn and blistered from days of running, scraped uselessly against the uneven flagstones.

As soon as we reached the door, one of the warriors didn’t hesitate. He shoved it open and pushed me inside.

Before I could even look around the room, another warrior flicked his fingers and forced me down onto my knees, putting me into a posture of absolute submission that stripped away the last remnants of my dignity. My dirty, tangled hair fell in front of my face, and I immediately closed my eyes, silently praying for my life。

I already knew what was coming next.

“Raise his head. I want to see his face,” I heard the Alpha say. Instantly, one of the warriors grabbed my hair and yanked my head upward until I was forced to face the Alpha.

As soon as my gaze locked with his, something inside me awakened. I maintained the struggle within me and didn’t flinch at his sight but I couldn’t control what I was feeling in my stomach.

Something powerful slammed into my chest that immediately made heat flood my body. My wolf surged forward with sudden, desperate strength, howling one single word inside my mind:

Mate.

That only word made me freeze.

It was impossible. That I was mated to him.

I had heard the old tales, how mates recognised each other by scent, by touch, by the very beat of their hearts. But never, in all the legends whispered around dying campfires, had a male been mated to a fellow male.

And yet, here I knelt, a filthy rogue, staring into the ice‑blue eyes of the most powerful Alpha in the region and feeling the undeniable pull of the mate bond. My wolf was already pacing, eager, wanting and I hated it.

He felt it too.

Out of the blue, his gorgeous blue eyes turned dark then his entire body went rigid. I watched the shock ripple across his chiselled features, first confusion, then dawning horror, and finally the fury. His jaw clenched so hard I could see the muscle ticking beneath his stubble. The air in the room grew thick with his Alpha dominant aura increasing. The guards behind me shifted uneasily, sensing the sudden, volatile shift in their Alpha’s energy.

“What the fuck is this?” Asher growled, his voice low and dangerous, a sound that would have sent lesser wolves cowering but he wasn’t speaking to us.  He was speaking to the universe, to the Moon Goddess herself, demanding an explanation for this cruel joke.

“Alpha…?” one of them started, but Asher raised a hand, silencing him instantly. “Let him go and leave,” he snapped at the guards and the Beta, his voice trembling with barely controlled fury.

As soon as they walked out and the door slammed shut, Asher approached me immediately, jaws clenched with barely contained rage.

“The Moon Goddess doesn’t make mistakes. What the fuck did you do to her, you filthy rogue,” he spat staring at me like I was the most disgusting thing he had ever seen.

I didn’t bother replying him because I was also confused.

On my side it was even worse. Besides the shock of being fated to a fellow male, in all the men in the world, in all the wolves across every territory, it was him.

Asher.

The same Alpha who had slaughtered my parents. The same man whose warriors had wiped out my entire pack years ago, leaving me as one of the few survivors forced into a life of running and hiding as a rogue. And now the Moon Goddess had bound me to him?

The irony was cruel enough to make me want to me run mad.

“Never in my life did I think that the Moon Goddess would curse me by making a rogue my mate,” he muttered to himself.

“Curse?” I repeated, my voice hoarse but filled with anger. “You think I wanted to become your mate? Do you really think I wanted this? Being bound to you… It disgusts me.”

As soon as I said so, his hand shot out and wrapped around my throat. His grip tightened, his fingers digging into my skin as if he wanted to kill me. His hand trembled with the force of his anger, but I didn’t look away.

For a long second, we stared at each other, the pull of the mate bond crackling between us like electricity, undeniable and wrong in the eyes of our world.

Then Asher shoved me back roughly, breathing hard.

“This is unnatural,” he snarled. “Two males cannot be mates. It has never happened and it should never happen.”

I collapsed to the ground, coughing violently as I tried to catch my breath. My throat burned from his grip, and every breath felt like fire.

But before I could ask why, he turned sharply and bellowed toward the door.

“Guards!”

The door flew open instantly.

“Take this… thing back to the cell,” he ordered, voice cold and filled with rage. “I don’t want to see his face again until I decide what to do with this abomination.”
