Cassian's POV

I looked at my phone, which was ringing lazily on the desk, and then grinned.

"What do you want now?" I muttered to myself as I picked it up.

"What are you calling me now, Mr. Bossy-ass? Did something happen at home?" I mocked Slash playfully as I immediately answered the call.

His chuckle made me smile widely as I spun slightly in a study chair. Talking to him always cheered me up.

I was at Evelyn's desk using her computer to check up on company updates while discreetly digging

  • FATED to SIN, BOUND by TIME   106: Star Gazing Plans

Cassian's POVWhen a woman invited you into her room for coffee or tea at night, it usually meant one thing. At least, that was what I had always believed. It was an unspoken invitation. One that often led to clothes being discarded and boundaries disappearing. But Ari...She was different.Because here I was, sitting inside her hotel room, quietly sipping a cup of coffee. Was I disappointed? Not at all.If anything, I found myself respecting her even more.A huge part of me couldn't picture Ari using her body to get close to any man.If she ever wanted to win someone over, she would probably do it without even realizing it.Her smile...Her innocent eyes...The way she spoke without overthinking her words. Those things were already dangerous enough.I took another sip before quietly looking around the room.It was probably the cheapest hotel room I had ever stepped foot in.I could tell just by looking around. There was only one chair, a tiny table beside it, a small refrigerator tuc

  • FATED to SIN, BOUND by TIME   105: Just A Little Longer

Arielle's POVI couldn't help stealing a few glances at Cassian. He sat beside me, looking at his phone with the same calm expression he always wore.Everything that had happened inside his office still felt unreal.Just a while ago, I thought he hated me.Now, he was personally taking me back to my hotel.I smiled to myself.Maybe coming to see him hadn't been a mistake after all. When the driver suddenly cleared his throat, I quickly looked away and faced the window.Heat rushed to my cheeks.I had completely forgotten we weren't alone. After our conversation in his office, Cassian had offered to drop me off before heading home himself.I didn't refuse. There was no way I could.Every extra minute I spent beside him felt precious."The night is sure beautiful," I murmured while looking outside.I was only trying to keep the conversation going.Cassian looked out of the same window before turning back to me."You call such a night beautiful?"I looked up.Only then did I realize ther

  • FATED to SIN, BOUND by TIME   104: The Feelings I Couldn't Understand

Cassian's POVAn hour, or what felt like one, passed before I finally looked up from the mountain of files on my desk. The first thing I did was search for Ari.The moment my eyes landed on the sofa, a strange warmth spread through my chest. She had fallen asleep.A small smile found its way onto my face. So, she really waited.I quietly stacked the last file on my desk before arranging everything neatly.Only after making sure my work was finished did I walk toward her.I stopped a few feet away. She hadn't moved at all.Her breathing was slow and even. One of her hands rested beneath her cheek while the other loosely held her phone on her lap.Her hair had become slightly messy during her sleep, and a single strand rested gently across her lips.I stared at it for several long seconds. Then, almost against my own will, I leaned down.My fingers carefully brushed that loose strand away. The instant my fingertips grazed the corner of her lips, a quiet sigh escaped her.My breath caugh

  • FATED to SIN, BOUND by TIME   103: Waiting Outside His Door

Arielle's POVI stood outside the company gates, shivering from the cold.I had lost track of how much time had passed. It felt like hours. For some reason, the large iron gates remained shut, and no matter how politely I pleaded with the guards, they refused to let me inside."I'm sorry, miss," one of them said apologetically. "Without permission from above, we can't allow anyone in. We also can't pass personal messages to the CEO."I found it strange.Surely, they could at least tell someone I was here.Still, I didn't argue. The guards were only doing their jobs, and getting angry with them wouldn't solve anything. So I waited.Every now and then, I took out my phone and called Cassian. The line would ring, yet nothing. He wasn't answering. After the fourth attempt, I slowly lowered my phone. He was avoiding me.A bitter smile appeared on my face."I really upset you that much..."Just then, the heavy gates slowly began to open.A black sedan rolled toward the entrance before stopp

  • FATED to SIN, BOUND by TIME   102: An Unexpected Opportunity

Soraya's POV"This sure sucks," I muttered to myself as I drove aimlessly through the streets.I had no idea where I was going. All I knew was that I needed a drive. After throwing myself onto the bed to rest for a while, I woke up to a quiet room with no sign of Arielle. For a brief moment, panic almost took over, but I quickly calmed myself. She was probably taking a walk or chatting with someone."Did I really sleep that long?" I murmured as I pulled my phone out of my jeans pocket. It was already past five in the evening. There was a missed call from Mom and a message notification.I immediately called her back. She answered after the second ring."Finally, you've decided to pick up, unlike Arielle. So, are you still driving?" she asked worriedly."If I were driving, I wouldn't be able to answer the phone, Mom," I replied honestly. She let out a relieved sigh."Then are you safe?""I am. The hotel we're staying at is actually pretty decent.""I'm glad to hear that."I smiled."Mom

  • FATED to SIN, BOUND by TIME   101: A Sudden Change

Arielle's POVPretending to still be upset over Darren's words turned out to be a brilliant idea.Even though I had already forgiven him, acting distant gave me exactly what I wanted: space from both Darren and Justin.Ever since that day, I had spoken very little in class. I only answered whenever it was necessary, then returned my attention to my books.Darren looked genuinely upset every time I ignored him. He would still try to make jokes now and then, hoping I'd laugh like before, but I simply smiled politely and continued with whatever I was doing.Justin, on the other hand, was different. He didn't try to force conversations. He didn't complain. He simply watched me with those calm eyes of his.Sometimes, I honestly felt like he knew I was pretending."What a handful," I whispered to myself while folding a few clothes and placing them neatly inside my travel bag.Finally...It was the weekend, which meant Soraya was taking me into town.More importantly, it meant I finally had

Arielle’s POVI lay on my bed, exhaling deeply as if I had been holding my breath for days. Usually, Evelyn and Raya were noisy whenever they came int

  • FATED to SIN, BOUND by TIME   4: Confession in the Dark

Arielle's POV A few days had gone by, and I was trying my very best to ignore and avoid Cassian. Raya was now usually coming home late, and her excuse was, "I'm doing two shifts since my bestie Kayla sometimes goes to take care of her sick mother." I understood her, but I also felt very uncomfor
