EPISODE FOUR.

Nicklaus sat down at the backseat with Annah and he couldn't help but notice how she was trying so hard not to look around or at his driver..

He sighed softly and trailed his fingers along her jawline as the surge of electricity spread across their skin as they touched.

The tingling feeling made her inclined but she kept her head low..

After a moment he retracted his hand and picked up his laptop to keep up with work.

Earlier today he'd a meeting with six Alphas in the southern territory that he'd to attend.

There were also issues about Rogue Hunters and shape shifters too, he couldn't ignore any of those or neglected his responsibility as an Alpha supreme.

He really wants to spend some time with his mate but unfortunately with alot going on he won't be able to neglect his responsibility..

He glanced at the woman beside him and her breathing had become steady..

The sound of her heartbeat was a soothing melody to his already broken soul..

An empty life covered with blood of battles and countless schemes between two worlds left him with nothing but a deserted soul and a beast that lives within him through immortality..

She waltzes into his life when he'd long forgotten about salvation the guardian had promised..

Her presence gave him the serenity that he never had..

Annah slept throughout the ride to the Gray mansion and Nick had to carry her in bridal style to her room..

Annah groaned softly and opened her eyes after sleeping for hours plus the bright light in the room invaded her sight..

The bed was soft and comfy, something made for lazy ass people..

She shielded her eyes from the blinding lights with her palm and turned her back against the window where the blazing sun was coming from..

She badly wanted to enjoy more of the soft bed but unfortunately she couldn't go back to sleep anymore..

Her eyes slowly adjusted to it..

The soft pillow which was feather made her reluctant to get outta bed..

She couldn't recall how she got to the bed but only remembered falling asleep in the car..

That man must have carried her in..

She finally pushed herself to a sitting position and slowly inspected her surroundings..

It was a huge room with floor to ceiling windows accompanied with a french styled door that led to a balcony.

The doors were closed but the lacy white curtains were pulled open.

The room of course was three times bigger than her apartment and Caroline's room combined..

There was a smart tv set Infront of her and luxurious vintage sofas at the other side of the room with a coffee table in the middle..

She got off the bed and the white soft woven rug on the floor welcomed her feet when he stepped outta the comfort zone of the bed..

She was captivated by the huge crystal chandelier hanging in the middle of the room and was sparkling under the sunlight..

Annah was lost in her thoughts as she admired the room interiors that she failed to notice the woman standing by the door..

"Are you the Alpha's mate?" She spoke and that caught Annah' s attention but she didn't bother to answer..

The woman was enraged for being ignored by the pathetic woman in front of him...

"Do you know who I'm? How dare you ignore me ?" She scoffed but Annah just stood motionlessly staring at her like she'd heard the most stupid thing ever..

Who was she to ask such questions?

"Are you deaf?" She raised her voice but her hand was caught before she could move closer to her by an unfamiliar man.

"What are you doing here, Skylar? Alpha supreme Nicklaus made it clear not to disturb his mate." Raphael the Gamma spoke with a frown plastered on his face..

"Let me go Raph I just wanna talk to her. " She said in between clenched teeth but Raphael was under strict orders not to let anyone inside the room of the little woman..

"You better watch your words or attitude to avoid getting in trouble with the boss." Raphael gave her a stern warning..

Skylar was a beautiful woman with the killer curves and someone who is definitely a proud peacock..

"I'm Skylar vox and you are?" She introduced herself and tilted her head gracefully with her hand stretched forth but Annah just stared at her stretched hand but didn't say a word and this infuriated the lady..

"I'm Alpha Daniel's daughter! How dare you ignore me?"

"What do you want?" Annah finally spoke..

Her face was expressionless as she spoke..

"Tsk! Just because Alpha supreme Nicklaus found his mate doesn't mean you can be so proud, after all I have been with him for years and he won't discard our relationship." Skylar showed pure disgust for her but Annah didn't seem affected by her words.. something in her tone hinted that there was something else going on between Nicklaus and her. Annah easily caught up on that.

She could see the lady's true form but didn't react..

"Skylar -" Raphael tried to stop her but the petite woman shunned him before he could even speak..

"Don't worry Raphael I'm not here to cause trouble I just wanna get to know her." She turned to Annah with eyes filled with mockery.

"Come downstairs with me, let's have brunch together.." she offered but Annah point blank refused..

"Thank you for your generosity but I don't know you well enough to drink tea with you." Annah boldly declined..

Skylar was about to explode in anger but managed to control herself..

"I'm just bringing you food! It's not, I'm gonna poison it anyway."

"Skylar!" Raphael raised his voice at her angrily..

Just because she was an Alpha's daughter doesn't mean he would defy a direct order from the Alpha supreme..

"What!" She glared at him..

"With all due respect, Alpha supreme Nicklaus won't be pleased with this." Raphael scratched the back of his head as he tried to hold back his frustration..

Skylar was Alpha's daughter and that made it impossible for him to lash back at her but the woman turned out to be a nuisance.

The two were so busy with their bickering that they failed to see Annah leave..

Raphael stopped talking the moment he noticed she wasn't in the room anymore..

He glanced around the room and wondered when she'd left without them noticing.

His eyes Fell on the opened door and he immediately assumed She'd run away..

His face had turned pale as white as a sheet as he stared at the woman Infront of her with widened eyes..

"Luna is gone." He communicated through the mind link but unbeknownst to them Annah had slipped away from them when their noise was becoming louder and quietly entered the bathroom..

Nicklaus's building is soundproof including his penthouse room and the bathroom in it so they didn't hear the water running..

Annah was determined to spend more time in the bathroom till those two decided to leave her alone..

Nicklaus was having a meeting with another Alpha in the same building as his mate when he caught an antsy message through the mind link.

He was supposed to shut down all thoughts because it was an important meeting but unfortunately he couldn't block all communication because he felt uneasy leaving her alone..

He'd left his gamma on guard outside her room but that didn't stop the uneasiness building inside of him..

She would be safe for hours without his presence but couldn't help the gravity of the mate bond that has taken a toll on him.

"Luna is gone." He stormed off when he caught that message like a raging beast ignoring the rest of the people present in the meeting room..

A deep growl escaped his lips as he rushed towards the Elevator and Elias was quick to go after him..

He sniffed the air hoping to find that peculiar scent that belongs to her but that didn't help because the hallway was filled with hundreds of scents making it impossible to track.

For some reason the elevator took longer than expected to reach the penthouse and this was driving him insane..

Elias tried not to make a sound so he doesn't provoke him further..

After what felt like forever the elevator door opened at the penthouse floor and he found his gamma and Skylar Infront of the elevator..

He didn't bother to say a word to them and pushed them aside as he walked inside her room..

He stopped moving and tried to control his rage so he could be able to track her scent..

Her peculiar scent was still in the room even though it was growing faint but fortunately he was able to trace it to the bathroom.

He opened the door without hesitation and found her inside the tub with her eyes closed.

Without thinking he rushed towards her and hugged her tightly.
