Chapter 15 : A hard pill to swallow

ANUSHKA'S POV

It felt like my own breathes were failing me ,my eyes were burning with tears and my heart felt like it had been stabbed multiple times by a sharp dagger..My knees got weak all of the sudden and my legs couldn't carry me any more as I pressed my back on the wall once I got in the elevator..My breathing accelerated with every second that passed ,my hand clung tightly on the fabric (my shirt) pressed to my heart as I tried to calm myself down..But it wasn't helping ,nothing was helping ,it felt like I was having some panic attack..I closed my eyes to let those tears that were blurring my vision to fall down my heated cheeks ,immediately what I saw in that office displayed in my eyes and I flew them open..I didn't want see that ,I shouldn't have seen that in the first place..I cursed myself from going back to that office to retrieve that stupid phone charger..I wouldn't have been feeling like this now ,as if seeing them at the cafe earlier did
