Eva
The long drive back home was daunting but unavoidable. I had run away from home five years ago, taking a ride that stopped me far from Granny's home before I trekked the rest of the journey. It was not easy, especially with my broken heart but I needed it.
Nobody from home had even asked about me since then. Granny had to Inform Father herself that I was with her. So why is he suddenly interested in me joining the celebration? I had no Wolf and had no use being among the people who had shown me nothing but distaste.
I'm sure the Lycan royal family wants nothing to do with a bastard born outside a mate-bond. I was a pawn to be used and dumped just like Dennis or Daniel did five years ago.
I wined down the glass of the old jeep so that the patrol guard could see me. "Welcome, Princess Eva," a familiar face greeted me. I smiled faintly. Not much has changed over the years…
I could see several other vehicles driving into the kingdom as well. Maybe everyone was truly mandated to be there. I saw the frown on the maids' faces as I drove into the grounds of the castle. My clothes weren't doing me much justice when I climbed out to take my things from the boot.
"Eva!" Nessa's voice caused me to swipe my head in the direction where it came. She ran into my arms and held me in a choking hug before I could even help it.
"Oh goddess, Eva, you have grown!" She yelped, looking me over. I was wearing jean pants and a white shirt which looked nothing like royalty. My cowgirl boots didn't help the look at all.
I smiled at her. At five-seven, I was still no match for her five feet ten. Her beautiful wavy blonde accentuated her regal beauty, her breathtaking deep blue eyes making it a no-brainer for any Man to turn twice when they passed her. And don't even get me talking about her figure. She was truly born to be a Royal Beta. "You too, Nessa." I returned her smile.
"What are you all staring at?! Help the Princess!" She barked at the maids to carry out my belongings. I pressed her not to be so harsh. I haven't seen these maids before so I'm sure they don't know me.
I was quite surprised that the Lycan King still let my family live in the castle. I guess I thought the worst would have happened. Perhaps not…
"The Lycan entourage will soon be arriving with the King so we need to get you changed." Nessa nudged, grabbing my hand as we rushed up the stairs, stopping when we entered my old room and closed the door behind us.
"I thought it was tomorrow…"
"Well, plans have been changed. I guess the jerk just wants to take us by surprise." She scoffed before she pulled a really wide smile drawing close and taking my hand.
"I really missed you…" she pouted, squeezing me ever so slightly. "You didn't even say goodbye!"
"I'm sorry," I managed to mutter as guilt filled me. I was just in so much pain and she would have figured out what was wrong if she saw me in that state. Nessa was too smart for me to risk it.
"Fine. Let's get you ready!" She squeaked after we pulled out of our long hearty hug.
………
Nessa forced me to take a bath while the maids prepared a dress for me. She wasn't dressed for the occasion as well so we spent over an hour talking and rebonding while we got ready.
For some reason, I was glad that everyone was busy with the emergency celebration so none of my family members had come to meet me. Not like anyone cared to though, but I was sure Anisha, my younger step-sister, would have loved to take a bite of me if she had the chance.
"You look great, Eva." Nessa squealed as we stood to take a last look in the mirror before we leave. The maids had already informed us the Lycan King had crossed the border. My heart was already going haywire at the thought of seeing him again.
"You too," I smiled back at her reflection behind the mirror. I was wrong, she was born to be a queen Instead.
We practically wore the same One-handed Silk gown with a slit that ran all the way to the upper thigh. While hers was a beautiful Milk colour, mine was deep wine red. I groaned all through as she forced me to put it on.
I don't know why I have to dress up so much when no one would acknowledge me anyway. I was still the Wolfless bastard child of the Alpha King and all this won't change anything. I bet no one would even remember me…
"Don't think I have not noticed how much more quiet you turned out and how you speak in monotones most of the time, Eva." I was always quiet and reserved. That was how I successfully hid my relationship with Daniel then. But maybe she was right. I had become too quiet.
"Don't worry, Eva. Things will turn out well from now on. We will find a way to get back at the Lycans soon." She tried to assure me when I gave her a defeated smile.
"He is here," Nessa's eyes flashed to her Wolf and my heartbeat skipped to the sky. It was trying to force its way off my body now. "Relax, Eva, I will be with you all the way." Was the last thing she said before we made our way downstairs.
Thankfully, everyone's attention was too focused on the arriving royalty so I had a chance to hide among the crowd. Nessa's warm hands on me were doing well in calming me down to an extent but was it enough? Definitely not.
I could feel his thick aura in the room already. The stifled whimpers I heard from several mouths gave everything away. His aura was too thick and intimidating. Thicker than the last time I saw him…
Several towering bodies covered my view of him as Alphas surrounded him where he stood. I could still see his familiar hairstyle and intimidating frame but not his face. Everyone was just seeking his attention but I felt like running away.
I saw Father lead the huge Man to his special VIP stand while my family came around where he stood. I felt Nessa squeeze my hand and I snapped my head around to meet her reassuring gaze.
"Wanna go and meet him?" She asked and my heart rate sprang up again. "Calm down, Eva. We don't have to if you don't want to." I sighed in relief hearing that. I didn't expect her to be this understanding. I guess I was not the only one who matured a lot.
"Eva! My daughter!" Dad's familiar voice almost made me choke on the chilled red wine I was gulping down. I was already settled with Nessa on a far enough side of the hall, deciding to drink something to cool my nerves before I sneak back upstairs when his voice came.
I sprang around, in search of the voice, when I met his familiar penetrating emerald green eyes just behind Father, who was now standing before me and I froze.
The shock waves that went through my body made me lose grip of the Glass cup in my hand so it slipped and fell; catching the attention of everyone in the hall as the sound of shattering glass filled the room.

"I was coming in a minute," he tried to explain but I just pushed him back with my palm on his chest lightly, locking the door behind us. "You are already done eating? I'm sorry I had to…""Shh," I said, pushing him flush against me and slamming our lips together. I could still taste the thick whiskey on his mouth and I realised I distracted him so he hadn't brushed yet and this makes it more exciting for me since It's an opportunity for me to show him that I would delightfully kiss him no matter how he tasted."Let's just say I want to have something else for dinner tonight." I whispered against his ear, holding his gaze as my hand tugged on his towel. His eyes were filled with lust and excitement just like mine as I kept leading him back to the bed with backward steps and my hand on his chest. His cock was already straining his towel, doubling my own excitement and quadrupling my arousal.I pulled his towel away, instantly pushing him into the bed and straddling his nakedness. He gr
A noise inside the room drew my attention to see Sneha staring at us with wide eyes."Oh, I'm sorry," Sneha almost stumbled with the tray in her hands. "I didn't mean to intrude." Snapping out of my daze, I went to help her but Hectar, or I would say, his Lycan now on the surface, held firmly to my wrist not letting me go for even a second. She was out of the room in an instant and shut the door behind her. I could feel my Lycan pushing me to take control but I held her back, no way I'm letting this spiral out of control. His hands wrap around my waist, leaning down to capture my lips when I pull away, still trying to wrap my head around what exactly was happening. I watched hurt play in his eyes before Hectar pushes forward again. "I'm sorry," He said, "My Lycan must have… I'm leaving now." He turned to leave but I held back his arm."Hectar, wait," I knew my stepping back hurt him as well and he will think I'm probably rejecting him because of that."Hear me out okay? Don't assume."
Miranda PovIt had been two weeks since we ended Nashita and Aaron's plans and rebuilt some of the damaged houses and Malls of our territory after the honorary burial of our dead warriors and compensation of their families was done.I had felt more empty inside when I felt my final tether with Edward slip away after his death and a huge void grow heavily in my heart. Normally, Hectar's presence and friendship would have been my bedrock in this hard time but he had gone along with Reymond to an emergency foreign assignment since his trusted Men happen to have died in the confrontation, so Hectar was the only one less busy enough to follow him to it right after the next day of the war.So I have practically not seen or heard from him ever since, which didn't make me me happy because he was practically the only one I had been able to rely on completely for so many years and his absence happen to really dial in on how much he meant to me more than I had realised when he was around. He init
"I'm sorry for the awful ways I treated you, Eva. Please forgive me, Sister." A nostalgic feeling washed over me remembering how she cried like a baby when she was just five years and I found her hidden inside the wardrobe when Greg unintentionally left her over at school and went off with his friends thinking that Lisa had picked her up already, leaving her there till late at night when we went out to find her.In fear, she had jumped into my arms exactly like this when I found her before everyone and sobbed heavily.I felt warmth over my heart and tears beginning to form in my eyes. "Please…" she said again in her usual childish voice she always used on Lisa when she wanted to get her to agree and let her have her naughty way.I chuckled causing a tear to slip down my eyes. I placed my hand on her silky long blonde hair. "It's fine, Anisha, I Forgive. I had forgiven you a long time ago.""Thank you," she sniffed, tightening her arm around me and I moved my hand caressing her hair and
"You will be fine, Father, everything will be alright." I tried to sound strong, hoping that I could use my healing abilities on him.He shook his head and smiled sadly and in pain. The several bandages on his chest were already getting soaked with blood and the life I felt living in him when I pressed my hand against him to try and restore him told me that he was not just blasted in his heart, but he didn't want to live. He was not fighting it. My Father was not fighting something for once in his life."Father, you can do this. Please just fight this." I begged, desperately trying to channel my healing energy in him though I was already so drained from restoring Daniel and had only so little left. But he was not accepting it. It was like his body was rejecting my powers. I didn't understand. I was confused and frustrated. I didn't know that someone could refuse receiving the healing energy being channelled. I never saw it in the book about Volcono Lycans Mum gave me to read."Let it g
Eva"Here I thought you were as powerful as I saw in my vision but it seems I was mistaken. Or maybe you haven't gotten full access to your power." She laughed hysterically before her torture increased, becoming unbearable. Her eyes flashed to pure black as her bulbs of energy became fiery the more it zapped out from her hand. "I will just have to take your powers then, you won't be needing it now.""You will never win!" I spat in anger feeling rage and pain fill me because of my failure once again. I was supposed to be the one with the highest advantage of strength and power, yet here I was under this godforsaken witch, feeling just as useless as I felt that night of the attack five years ago.Maybe I am not what was said I am. Maybe Mother was mistaken when she said I was the most powerful creature in the shifter's world currently. I was a failure and this was proving it.The bolt of life I felt leaving me made me hopeless the more I tried to trash against her magic but my whole bod
