Picking my phone for the 3rd time from Maya “Lisa can you hear yourself, you have to abort the child you can't destroy everything you've worked hard for, for a child that will only cause you pain”

“Nothing’s gonna change my mind Maya, so just support me as my friend” smiling and touching my stomach in my bathroom “we'll just have to keep Daniel's identity a secret, dad won't take it very well.”

I hear her exhale through the phone “you're really gonna tell Dad?”

“Yeah” exhaling “he'll understand.”

“Alright babe, always know I'm here for you” the silence lingered a bit before she said “I love you girl”

Laughing “you keep acting like I'm about to die… thanks, I gotta go bye” I ended the call and looked in the mirror before mustering up the courage to go to my dad's office.

I knocked and stood by the door, seeing him alone. It was new he was always with uncle Ben.

“Hello princess will you keep standing at the door” dad said smiling

I smiled weakly and walked into his office. Don't get me wrong my dad is the sweetest but he can be scary when he wants to be.

“You're alone. Where's Uncle Ben?” I smile too confidently but I'm sure dad could see right through me.

“Alright” dropping the file and pen he was holding “sit down and tell me, what's wrong?”

I confidently sat down and looked my dad straight in the eye for a few minutes. We didn't say anything, dad was giving me time to get myself together. He knows me too well.

“I'm pregnant” and I dropped the bomb. The look on Dads face wasn't something I thought I would ever see. He was disappointed and somewhat hurt.

He exhales “ I tried my best to be a good father”

“I did everything a parent could do, how could you be so stupid!” he bangs his hands on the desk making a very loud noise, I'm sure everyone heard it “you're the heir to the Downs empire how can you be having a baby and at that without the…”

He stood and walked towards me. I quickly stood firm as the soldier he trained me to be “who is he? Who's the father of the child? Who dared to touch my princess and ruin her?” He shouted. His voice hammered in the entire house “I need a name Lisa Amelia Downs.” holding me on both arms tightly.

I hate it when he calls me by my full name. I exhale slowly, I hate lying to you but I have to to keep my child safe “no name father, I don't know the father” he pushed me slightly releasing me from his strong hold.

He scoffs “you don't know the father? You don't know the father, Lisa Downs, are you stupid?” Picking up a glass cup he threw it just meters away from me I flinched but didn't move.

“So you sleep around now? What are you, a whore? You promised no more parties” sighing “you have a legacy to uphold Lisa, how did this happen?” he asked.

Breathing shakingly, I gulped and tried to control myself “it was an accident dad, an accident that won't repeat itself” I say trying to be strong.

He sighs loudly “that solves half of the problem, you'll have to lay low for now so no one targets you because you'll be vulnerable since you're pregnant” he runs his hands through his hair “how could you make…” he slowly sits on the sofa.

“I'm sorry Dad, I was high I didn't know when it happened” I slowly walked to him “dad….”

“I guess I can never the take your mother's place, if Amelia was here this wouldn't have happened” he says sad

Kneeling down “you know that's not true, you're are the best . You've always been there, because of you I never once felt the absence of mom.”

Holding his hands “I know you're disappointed but this child did nothing wrong, I messed up not my child. But we'll get past this together just like we always do.” Smiling.

Smiling “you got me there, do you feel weird or uncomfortable” slightly touching my stomach

“Not really I'm very okay”

Opening his hands “come here” I stood up and hugged dad and sat with him just immediately uncle Ben walked in.

“I have the files on the US mafia” he looks between my dad and me. We're not always like this only when we miss mom. “Did I miss something?”

Dad laughed “we’ll be having a grandchild soon”.

Uncle Ben looked very confused until I said “I'm pregnant”.

Uncle Ben's expression was beyond shocked “WHAT?”.

DANIEL POV

I have been trying to get through to Miss Downs for a month now and all I could gather was just her name, Lisa. I was getting really frustrated. I was discussing with Mark in my office when I heard a knock on the door “come in” I said.

My secretary walks, I look at him to give me a positive answer this time and he nods and drops a file on my desk.

“Miss Downs lives the house by 7am everyday to jog and goes to the hospital by 9am” my secretary said

“Hospital, why?” Looking at him for an answer.

“I couldn't get any information on that,” he said with his head down.

Sighing “which hospital” going through the file I see pictures of her and smile. I missed her face.

“New Clinic Annunziatella sir” he answered

“Good job, you may leave” my secretary bows and leaves. I open my drawer and bring the piece that makes me feel close to Lisa, her bracelet. I stare at it.

“What the actual fuck is happening? You're still looking for her” Mark asked surprised

I was surprised by myself too. I never chased after any womanl but Lisa was different. She was innocent yet dangerous and she had light in her eyes. Not everyone in this mafia world still had light in their eyes.

“I have to find her” I said looking at the bracelet

“Don't tell me you've fallen for her?” Mark asked

“I don't know if I have fallen for her, I just know I want to always see her, I always want her around and I keep thinking about what she's doing. I'm curious about her whereabouts if she's safe or not I….I just want her around”. I rambled with a smile.

“My god, dude” laughing “you're totally fucked” laughing I smiled and quickly his smile disappeared “but if your dad finds out”

“His enemy is her dad not Lisa, and I don't give a fuvk what he thinks. Lisa is mine”. I said smiling.
