MAYA POV

I didn't want to leave Lisa behind, she has been too different. I didn't like this type of difference. I've never seen Lisa this way, she's always closed up not letting her fears out but now it is so obvious, she can't hide it. Is it because of the pregnancy? I just can't pinpoint the issue.

I've seen her broken but nothing like this, this reminded her of a wound she spent years amending, the death of her mother. She was robbed of her mother's care and love at a very young age. She sometimes blamed herself for her death, but then she was just five.
