Chapter 4

"Good day to you Mr Blake"

 "And to you Mr Brown. I hope the deed to the cafe have been given to Miss Gates since she is now the new owner of the cafe" Jeremiah said.

 "Owner to what?!" Amelia practically yell, starring from one man to another.

 "Mr Blake here have bought the cafe and now it's under your name...the cafe is yours" Louis said to Amelia.

 "Why on earth will you buy me my work place?" Amelia demand the moment Louis went back to get the document.

 "It's a gift from Mr Preston. If he can easily buy you this cafe then think how much more you will receive if you agree to his offer" 

 "I am not going to be his surrogate. I want nothing to do with Mr Preston!" Amelia half yell.

 "But you came to his company insearch of a job" 

 "So? Is that why he's offering me this disgusting one instead? How about I talk to Mr Preston myself" Amelia suggest.

 "Well I don't..."

 "What? You won't let me see him now? I thought he wants me to be his surrogate?" 

 "Alright, Miss Gates. I will take you to see Mr Preston" Jeremiah agree.

 Amelia didn't even bother to change her uniform, she left the cafe with Jeremiah into the waiting car which is now heading to Preston Enterprise.

 Once again, she got into the lift which whisk her up to the tenth floor. Jeremiah led her pass the secretary desk and into a room.

 Sean Preston is standing by the glass window, his back facing them as they walk in.

 "Boss, Miss Gates is here to see you" Jeremiah inform.

 "Leave us alone" Sean order without turning and when Jeremiah left, Amelia walk further into the room.

 "Mr Preston" Amelia call and that got him turning around.

 She recognize him as the attractive man from the lift...the one she had insulted Sean Preston to.

 "You!"

 "Yes, it's is me. The man from the lift. The one you practically chewed Sean Preston to, but it turns that I am Sean Preston himself" 

 "Well I..."

 "You what? Cat got your tongue now?" His condescending attitude got her anger returning.

 "No. I am here to ask why you insist I be your surrogate" 

 "Can't I just pick you for you?" He ask, folding his arms across his massive chest.

 In the past, Martha have frequently told her about Sean. She even reveal that a few of the female employee including herself were crushing hard on him.

 If only she's alive now...then she will realize that Sean Preston is nothing but a bastard who would rather use deplorable means to save his company even if it destroys the reputation of a dead female employee which happen to be her.

 "You can't just pick someone random to be the mother of your child. I might be some kind of fugitive or better still, a killer" 

 "You are not" 

 "There's no way you can tell" Amelia said, crossing her arms against her chest as well.

 Slowly, Sean approach her, coming to a halt in front of her, clouding her senses with his spicy cologne.

 Taking hold of her hand, he gently caress her finger and when she tried to pull away he tighten his hold around it.

 "I doubt this delicate looking hands have ever killed someone before" 

 She snatch her hand away from him, taking a step back to keep some distance between them. "Whatever. I want you to stop with the gifts. I don't want to be your surrogate, you can easily find someone who's willing to do..."

 "It's you that I want" he cut her off abruptly, closing the distance between them. 

 Amelia take a step back only for her to fall into the empty chair behind her.

 She stare up at Sean as he lean towards her, both hands placed on the arm of her chair practically trapping her.

 "I only want you, Amelia" he said, his face close to hers that she had to look away from his intimidating gaze.

 "Why? Why must it be me?" She ask, hating herself for sounding weak.

 Cupping her jaw, he force her gaze back on him, a cruel smile splaying on his lips as he said. "It's because you hate me"
